I think many of our posters are too emotional and extremely impatient with all our young players and then there’s the other side that are too emotional about our 2nd seed last year and are being too conservative. I’m in the camp that we need to hang onto amen, sengun, and jabari at a minimum and only give up Jalen for a significant upgrade not durant. I'm not happy about it but, i'm almost certain that we extend FVV now that Ime has been crowned. the #10 will be traded for future draft picks or for a journeyman vet and one future pick. Maybe we sign someone into the one of the MLE's and then get a lower seed and another first round exit.

    Dear Phoenix,
What if we just restructure Jock Landales contract so that it is a 50M non-guaranteed deal. Then we trade him straight up for KD? You get a big who performed amazingly in the playoffs - remember the playoffs??

    So, Jock?
    No?

ok, final offer, 3 Second round picks added??

Another reason you don't trade Bari is because you want depth around KD. You don't want KD playing 36-37 minutes like he has had to do in Phoenix--that's just an invitation to season-ending injury. Ideally, you want him under 30 with the remainder of the minutes going to Bari/Tari (who also split at the 4) and still keeping some shooting on the floor with Bari when KD sits.

A front court rotation of KD/Bari/Tari/Sengun/Adams/Uncle Jeff/McVeigh?/#10? plus some of Amen does not suck.

(I'm assuming we'll somehow move Landale and Tate.)

“Haha Spurs sux! Haha if the Spurs want to max out Fox & KD, let them! Mediocre expensive roster going nowhere!”

    Sounds like some serious cope.

Meanwhile, we just extended Ime Thibodeau & are about to pay left out, been sitting on the counter for a week oatmeal Fred VanVleet.

Are you seriously scared of the Spurs? Who haven’t even proven anything yet? Reminder. Wemby had a blood clot. His future is anything but certain and also being is a close to 8 foot tall, he t is not guaranteed he has a long career because physically, it just never happens.

Jalen Green is only 23 years old. Wait till his breakout year when he turns 36.

I mean you are going to extend a coach who just got you to the 2nd seed in the west without a superstar and were some mere calls away from going to the second round.

The spurs haven't accomplished anything, have a new HC, have a potential superstar in Wemby where we do not know where his health is at, Castle is fine but he won ROY in a weak rookie class.

I would just be speculating - other than I was told some time ago that Minnesota really wants KD the most of any team.

At this stage, it behooves all teams to dig in their heels and say they aren’t upping their offers. It is too early to move. This trade isn’t getting done until Tuesday, or Monday earliest. Increasing an offer now will simply drive up the final cost.

Hence, it is a game of chicken among Houston, SA and Miami, and any other teams that want to do a rental. These teams are aligned in the desire to keep the price down, but someone will increase the offer. Just not until Sunday or Monday.

Yeah - Wemby's leg could explode.... but I'll take the Spurs core over the Rockets core every time.

Spurs have Wemby, Fox, Castle, Harper, and the assets to make major moves

    y’all be for real

Rockets have Amen and Sengun who both can’t score outside of 10 feet and then a bunch of mediocrity along with assets nobody wants to give up in any move unless it propels us to automatic contention

That is also consistent with what the Rockets front office has said - several weeks ago and have said since then.

It makes sense and is consistent with how Stone operates - he spends 5 minutes deciding what to order at Cane's chicken.

2 years ago he played the whole season with the suns. last year he had an ankle but he didnt come back because they werent a playoff team and he had no interest in playing their anymore. Even at that played 62 games. Im no more worried about a durant injury than any other on the team. They are random. Someone next year will get hurt. It always happens to every team every year.

Exactly - the Spurs have Wemby, Fox, Harper, Castle, Sochan, Johnson, Vassell.... the Hawks picks, their own picks and a handful of picks from other teams like Dallas and Sacramento.

The Spurs can also clear money off the books easily.

The only think SA doesn't have working for it is that they play in San Antonio
