Jazz have plenty of pieces and depth that the Sixers could use. Daryl put himself in a bind with his antiquated 3 stars BS line up. The #3 pick may be a get out jail free card and Morey can maybe get Collins, Sexton, and other good role players out of it to properly try to salvage any years that Joel may have left.

Is it about the money or why are they reluctant to buy him out.

They want to trade him and the pick for a worse draft pick.

Hard to build a contender with all that dead money sitting in your cap!!

I just an article suggesting that trading back from 3 to 5 would be bad for the 76ers because they would have to either take back Markkanen or a bunch of players. And that neither option "moves the needle" for Philly.

    Ummm...
Trade back to 5 and take (eg) Tre Johnson = bench scoring sorted. Markkanen = reliable 20ppg scorer who is only being asked to be the third wheel.
Have Maxey and (sometimes) Embiid as the 1-2 punch, and you've got a sweet 3rd string in Lauri, and lots of young talent around them [#5, McCain, Grimes etc]

I think it moves the needle a lot for them.
Can't see why Utah would do that though...

Getting ANYTHING for PG13 would be a win
Getting out from under that contract would be a win
The only way to make it worse would be to trade him for Bradley Beal

    Easier to move smaller peices
so . . . Markkanen and peices would work for me
I'd take Porzingus right about now over PG13

only if Utah covets the #3 pick very much. But the drop between #2 and #3 in this draft is much bigger than #3 and #5. So I doubt the pick swap would entice the Jazz to do the trade.

That was a good one before the Great One......back when George was still playing well.

This kid has bust written all over him. The fact that he's BFFs with Dylan Harper would give me pause about Harper as well. I wouldn't touch this guy even if he fell to #10.

I wouldn't touch players who go out of their way and say they dont want to play for specific teams.

You're literally about to go to the NBA. Make millions. You gotta be humble and see what you can do wherever you get picked.

Kid finessed his way to Rutgers so he could just go wherever they let him do whatever he wanted. His buddy did as well. They couldn't even make the tournament. Now he's wanting promises before he works out for teams? They probably had to drag him to the combine where he measured in at 6-7 when they kept saying he was 6-9. He's basically 6-7 Jalen Green with a much much much more entitled attitude. Absolutely no to this brat.
