There are pros and cons to trading for Kevin Durant. However I’ll say this, if he ends up on the Rockets - I will savor his very minute of it - win lose or draw. For all the attention that Steph Curry gets for being a great shooter - Kevin Durant really may be the greatest overall shooter in NBA history. He is 50/40/90 on high volume for his career and is even better now, was like 55/45 last year. He can hit mid ranges— threes off screens, off pull ups, over and even through people…. LBJ and Curry get all the attention but KD and Harden both were the best players in the world for multiple seasons in the primes of Curry and LBJ.
so your giving away 2 starters with one of them being 15 years younger, a bench guy and 2 firsts for a 37 year old KD? Do you honestly think the team will be better with KD instead of Green and Brooks?
It's not going to work. Our competition is leaving and we are standing pat. Everyday PHX lets this go on the price drops. If they wait after the draft they are going to have a pissed off Durant with less leverage and teams are going to make other moves in FA. VERY few teams with 2nd apron problems can make the moves necessary to make this work. After a while it goes beyond what you want to what is possible.
I wished there was Draw in Basketball. Curry is pretty underrated in your statement, he is a much better leader, that plays into basketball as well......he makes his teammates feel comfortable and welcome on and off the court. The best or 2nd best Culture setter there is. As for the best shooter, he is the rangiest.....no question.
How about this… we don’t believe the random reports and we act as if we running it back. Then anything outside of that is a surprise. So we don’t spend our time here and instead on work, family and life.
yes and you would be an idiot to think it wouldnt. We would be swapping Green and Brooks with Amen and Durant. Eason more minutes, Scorer that can get a bucket in a halfcourt offense on his own. The exact thing the team needed in the playoffs. Alpi would benefit hugeeeee with durant. Not saying that exact trade is realistic but Green, Brooks Filler and Picks would be idealllllllllll. 2-3 years of durant instead of 3 more years of Jalen Green sound great.
I agree. Brooks, Jalen, and draft compensation for durant would put houston in great position the next 2-3 years to really compete in the playoffs. Keep the good core of Amen, Alpi, and Bari/Tari, and cut bait with the bad core of Jalen, and the defensive declining brooks. Ill miss then intensity but one durant critical 4th quarter jumper will make me forget about it

But is he worth 25-30 mil next year when a team is gonna offer him that? He has done anything to show he's worth that yet financially will the rockets match him for that ?
