Cam Smith .771 OPS. I said I was hoping he would be nearing .800 by years end. Uh, he's getting there really quick.
That's what I ment. Astros being so much worse against any RHP than LHP why would teams use any lefty other than named Skubal & Fried against us. Maybe it was just hyberbolic hot take crap from me born from the idea what I would do......use just depth RHP with ok slider against us rather than usual LHP on rotation on their turn. Regarding Framber, it is bit tricky. I don't think any other team has lefty SP like him with sinker/curve and the fortune wheel of dominate everyone (including good lefty hitting righties) / or melt down totally from not getting 1 call or fielding error or anything breaking focus. But nuff about that. Fabulous game today! Yankees, Rangers and Mariners lose. Loving life . I read somewhere that Altuve made trolling curtain call after being heckled and homered. Missed that but today he seems so happy. Please Stros, do not fk up Yordan hand thingy now. Take all the time in the world if needed. I see him looming positively often in the backround like looking after his children and he is too crucial as player and leader. Feels like even without Bregman the clubhouse is not one where newbie comes in and starts acting out (like b*tch Chisholm in Yankees) which is part of the winning culture. End of rant .
I still expect him to hit some kind of rookie wall at some point. The dog days are coming. He’ll get his second wind in September, just in time for the playoffs.
I’ll go ahead and call it now…he’s going to put up big numbers in the 2nd half and will end up at .800 for the season.
