I have been a fan of the Governator; his comments in the video are overly-simplistic and---playing into Trump's convenient false narrative---assume that all the immigrants are criminals the overwhelming majority of immigrants do not commit crimes, just like Arno's former housekeeper, one whom he had impregnated, which produced this bodybuilder fwiw, just like Elon Musk, Arnold started life in the US as an illegal alien, in the 1960s
Conservatives always like to harp that leftists are soft on illegal immigrants but then also like to point out that biden and Obama deported more immigrants than Trump when defending ICE actions under trump.
Nobody wants to hear what actual, legal, immigrants have to say on this matter. It's incredible how leftist Americans always think they are more qualified to speak on an issue more definitively than the actual group of people that have more direct experience on the matter. Look at the panic on all of their faces when a man that's been through the immigration process personally had a take different than theirs. My father and mother are immigrants and their attitude is exactly the same as Arnold's is here. Most immigrants will likely agree. Do it legal. It's nothing controversial.
@ROXRAN @Salvy @basso the key word the woke people don’t understand is ‘illegal’ That’s why when something happens in woke cities people go looting and vandalizing ‘Illegal’ doesn’t mean anything to them They hate police and ICE agents cause they prevent things that are ‘illegal’ you have to go through processes to enter a country either as a tourist or person trying immigrate That’s how it is in the rest of the world
Leftists are professionals at ignoring words in order to create, and get irate about, an attitude that doesn't even exist. Being anti-vaccine MANDATE regarding the Covid shot = you're anti ALL vaccines. Being pro deportation of people that are in the country ILLEGALLY = you are a racist that hates immigrants.
You cultists know theres a way you can do mass deportations without covering your faces like a gang right? You cultists know you can critique your orange messiah right? Low iq cultist
I hear what actual legal immigrants say on this matter almost daily. It seems like you are taking one example of one legal immigrant's statement and attributing it to a majority of legal immigrants.
No one is complaining about requiring illegal folks to go through the proper step to become legal, folks are more disturbed about how the conservatives aren't doing due process and just deporting folks indiscriminately. The trump administration is sending folks to prison camps and to foreign nations without due process = folks are bothered at the injustice. Its not that complicated. Conservatives are all about the law and order when it suits them. Comes of as being hypocrites ignoring due process while deporting illegal immigrants. Thats like going to arrest folks in private properties without the use of warrants. The funny thing is that our country is so dependent on illegal workers that we cant even deport as many as u would think without crippling our economy. I hear trump is planning on expections for some illegals.
I know literally hundreds of legal immigrants. The way libs dig in to argue against people that have way more direct knowledge than them is simply astonishing.
I could say the same about Trump/Steven Miller immigration policy supporters and legal immigrants. I don't think legal immigrants fall into one category and have views ranging the whole spectrum on immigration policy. I think it's wrong to try and lump 'legal immigrants' into one position to try and use it to bash political opponents.
I am very conflicted about immigration at this point. Being a person that believes all are equals in my mind. I can see arguments on both sides. My wife's mother spent 6 years of dealing with red tape in order to get on that 747 from Shannon Airport to start her life here. So, my wife, as liberal as she does not agree with those that cross the border illegally, and I see her point. But on the other hand, those in the country that I have dealt with in the restaurant industry for 30 something years always show up and did twice the work for cash under the table, that I suspect was pennies on the dollar compared to those who were lucky to be born American. Which leads me to my next issue and the hardest one for me to fathom. In America we use these here in our country "Illegally" to do the jobs that others mostly do not want to do. But yet do not pay them a decent wage. If we "need" these laborers so bad, why do we not pay them an equal wage? It's the best way to get someone self-sufficient, not rich but at least to the point where they can afford health insurance and decent housing and a path forward for their children, so as not to be tied to the lawn mower or cantaloupe field. The reason is, Americans are ok with the farm owners, contractors, and such, in order to keep a few extra bucks in their pockets. No one complains about paying 8 bucks for a half caf soy mochaccino latte from Starbs. But if a watermelon was 8 bucks Katy bar the door. There are so many underlying pieces to this puzzle, that it would take a man much wiser that I to figure it out.
Should be arrested immediately. Impersonating an ICE agent I suspect is a crime. Although he would get a swift pardon from the Trumpster.
Whatever we do, we should do it humanely. Deporting people into war zones or "permanent" jail is cruelty. And we should do it legally. Operating without due process creates a giant loophole that allows for "accidental" or purposeful arrest, detention, and/or deportation of anyone, including you and your family. There are choices here. Do we go after dangerous criminals or those who are truly breaking the law, or do we target everyone, including children who were brought here after "illegally crossing the border"? Criminals and those truly trying to avoid our legal process aren't going to show up to our courts. The people showing up are following our laws and procedures. Yet these are the people ICE is going after - immigrants with or without paperwork, likely with temporary status, those we know aren't dangerous and are likely contributing to society. Here's an example that should truly outrage people: A former Afghan national who served as an interpreter for the US Army failed to secure evacuation during the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. He made his way to the US through the now-defunct CBP One mobile app. He showed up to court, as he had been doing as part of the process to get a special visa and claim asylum, but was arrested by ICE. This is clearly someone who would face danger if deported back to the Taliban. This is not just un-American value, it's a betrayal of the very people who helped America, and now we want to destroy him. This is what happens when policies are driven by blind hatred. It's wrong and not who we are. Afghan interpreter detained by ICE in California courthouse, sparking outrage and fear – San Diego Post
The incompetent people who created the mess are the same incompetent people who are now telling everyone else how to clean up their mess.
