which is crazy because Jalen screams 1 dimensional 6th man scorer to me atp like Jamal Crawford or JR Smith guys that have low FG% and score on weak efficiency while not creating much offense for others, but they can explode offensively and win u a game on occasion Jalen’s role on this team has basically been to be a shot taker and cosplay as a #1 option because somebody had to do it on this team…if KD was on this team, Jalen’s services would no longer be needed like that KD is taking 18-20 shots a game…Sengun needs his touches and shot attempts…Amen will have a bigger role next season Where does that leave Jalen who doesn’t provide anything other than scoring?
Which is why they have no leverage. The only way any of this makes sense is to get their draft future back, or they will have to trade Booker to recoup any draft capital. They are going to be bad in the immediate future no matter what happens with Durant, and it only aids Houston because we control their draft picks.
Just want to highlight how dumb this idea is... Amen was #1 on the team (min 500 points) in points per fga. Jalen was 9th on the team. It get worse when you take out free throws. Amen is at 1.14 (still 1st) and Jalen falls to 1.00 (11th place). FVV and Reed Sheppard were the only 2 less efficient scorers than Jalen. To put it another way... Jalen scored 753 more points but took 740 more shots to do it. At Amen's rate we would have scored 276 more points in the season with Amen taking Jalen's shots. Yes, the more you play the less efficient blah blah blah. Explain to the all nba defensive kid who played elite defense while also doing that on offense.
Phoenix is really trying hard with all these different mouthpieces pretending like they have all these offers. Yea right...Memphis gathered all those picks so they can acquire a 36 year old.
Pretty sure the Memphis target is Trey Murphy. The only teams that make sense for Durant to go to is Miami and Houston. Phoenix is holding a 3 and a 9 unsuited with mirrored sunglasses.
Not really sure how the money would work here. I don't think the Magic can trade KCP or Anthony for a couple of months, and I seriously doubt they are going to trade Ja or JJJ for Durant. The Magic's largest salary outside those four is Clarke at 12.5 mil.
Memphis would need to trade their whole team for KD. Yeah that’s not happening lol. Media and Suns are really trying. It’s almost disrespectful to the other GMs if it’s the Suns pushing this. I understand the media. They want clicks and popularity and this is a great chance at that.
The Ime & Fred love affair will end up being the biggest detriment to this team. I thought this guy was a bridge but apparently he's our franchise player
Yeah right LOL. Memphis is closer to having a fire sale than trading FOR KD. These so called insiders drive me crazy.
I just don't think it's 0.5%. I would agree with you if we were in alignment on those percentages, but I'm not there. Respectfully disagree, and as always, I could be wrong.
That's not how any of this works. Even under your hypothetical arrangement, Amen's cap hold in 2028 would be huge.
