my hunch is those offers are contingent on KD acquiescing and being okay with playing there. KD isn’t gonna commit to an extension somewhere he doesn’t want to play. Some of these teams might be willing to roll the dice in the hope that they can convince him to extend once he’s in their organization. But I doubt anyone is giving up those assets if the guy straight up doesn’t want to be there.

They want whatever they can get for Jalen rather than Jalen the player. His value is about a late first or early second tops.

There's just no way you can spin this to be anything other than the harshest of criticisms of Jalen.

The Rockets will gladly throw him in the deal, but they balked at the idea of trading Jabari and flat out refused to consider Amen or Sengun. That tells you what the Rockets think about him and the Suns see no value in him as a player whatsoever.

Gambo (suns mouthpiece): suns have all these great deals! (that they haven’t pulled the trigger on; except the Heat, that offer sucks!)
Duane Rankin (suns beat writer): suns may need to lower the asking price
    Shams: no interest in MIN
    Athletic: spurs first choice
Marc Spears: knicks were first choice but ny wasn’t interested
Athletic: suns underwhelmed by MIA/SA/HOU offers
Shams: heat/rockets “more likely” than spurs”
Athletic: The Timberwolves do not want to make a seismic change to a roster that advanced to the Western Conference finals if Durant is not on board with the move, team sources said. Parting with Gobert would be difficult given how important he is to Minnesota’s defense, so it is unclear if the Wolves would be willing to do that to land Durant, especially if the All-Star is coming unwillingly.
Spears: Ant is in Georgia, not recruiting or trying to change his mind
Windhorst: suns could keep Durant if no good offers

they all do seemingly agree on one thing: spurs have taken a back seat?

Stone shouldn't get into a bidding war for Durant based on what other teams are offering.

Offer what he thinks is the right value and if you don't get him, you don't get him. If you do, cool.

The Suns hilariously asked the Spurs for the #2 pick and I think that insult cooled trade talk.

Gosh, I am quietly laughing hard at this so called extension of 2 years when he will be 39-40......gonna be fine times with that extension.

It's not fair to say they see "no value in him whatsoever." You're making assumptions based on rumors and hearsay with zero on-the-record sources.

It may just be that they don't want a third SG on a team with Booker and Beal. Or they may just be looking for something different in terms of assets coming back.

If we don't trade for Durant, it may not have anything to do with the Suns view of Green at all. I agree he's not the mega-asset some Rockets fans make him out to be, but you're making some pretty huge leaps in logic here.

They see no value in him as a player, not even off the bench. The only value they see in him is in trade to a 3rd team for whatever little they could get for him. If they had the same ridiculous opinion of Jalen that Jalen fans do....that he's a future star, they wouldn't want to trade him because they'll have 29 year old Devin Booker and 32 year old Bradley Beal who they desperately want to dump.

I have supported this rebuild like a good lil b*tch and have not complained once but trading Jalen & Jabari + signing Fred to one of the worst contracts I’ve seen 3/90 would feel a little bit like a slap in the face. Might even be a worse team

That is some depth, they prolly go for another 1st rounder.

It is not just burning assets for a rental but testing their level in a Tatum less East.

If this is the offer what’s taking the Suns so long to accept?

My guess is Durant probably told Toronto no to an extension

without FVV it wouldn't be a 7 games series, the Rockets probably lost in 5 or 6 games

I believe Minny had Gobert, DDV, and RobD.....prolly waiting for KD to drop his no extension stance.

Dudes are getting back and forth I guess that is why it takes this long.
