I posted here 2-3 years ago J-Dub would become a top 10-15 player in the NBA and nobody agreed. That's still probably true now even though I believe it even stronger.
Weirdly Enough . . . he may end up like Harden Can OKC pay him? If not he may go to lead his own team Is Chet gonna be the odd man out? Rocket River
Ok yeah, I do believe they have the money for him this time. I doubt Chet is the odd man out when Hartenstein is the guy with a hefty contract as well that can come off the books in a few years. Technically Chet only played 2 years while his first year was nursing his injury. Just find young ones to replace them with those hoarded picks.
Hartenstein ain't on a Max though Shai will probably get the SUPERMAX (unless he takes a pay cut) which is like 70 Million a year 70+60+60 = 190 million in three players???? Found this: 1. Salary Cap Percentage: 0-6 years of experience: Eligible for 25% of the salary cap. 7-9 years of experience: Eligible for 30% of the salary cap. 10+ years of experience: Eligible for 35% of the salary cap. Next year Chet will make 13~14 Million and Jalen makes between 6~7 Million Both will will be in year 5 So they would max out at 25% of the Salary Cap With Shai taking 30% a year or so later (80% salary cap in 3 players) They can run it back next year . . .the year after that they will be looking for trading partners for Hartenstein(28 million) and Caruso (19 million) to make room for Chet and Jalen Rocket River
Presti has oddly never won a championship.....until this year maybe so we still have no concept of what he would do. And what the owner does. They could never have guessed that all those 3 guys won MVPs unless they have a crystal ball. And all 3 MVPs never won championships.
Super Apron They maybe ok I am not a expert on the Aprons https://www.thescore.com/nba/news/2940429 Rocket River
No doubt Presti will pay J-Dub and give SGA the supermax. If Chet blows up next year and stays healthy the entire season, things will get really tight next summer because Chet and J-Dub were in the same draft. They can trade Hartenstein, Dort and some bench players to open things up. The NBA salary cap will increase ~10% each year indefinitely. Presti has a plan but it's safe to say OKC's depth will take a hit in a year or two unless he drafts like a wizard.
If they win this championship SOMEONE IS GOING TO OVERPAY DORT Which will be kind of funny to me 3 yrs 90 million to the Wizards Rocket River
