Giving up 10th pick and Jabari + Jalen who you extended as if a franchise player and CHOOSING to invest that in a 37 year old instead of a star then that tells me everything I need to know.
That wasn’t my point. It was an example. It shows how we haven’t taken advantage of his best skill which is on the fast break and when we run. It’s hard to run when your PG insists on toying with the 8 sec violation every single time. Either help your starting SG or trade him. They invested 30+M a year on him, it’s probably worth it to choose him over an inefficient slow chucker in FVV.
Because DUHHHHH. Eason at 5.6 million is incredible value you cant replace for our immediate ability to compete. With durant we need value contracts. I dont know how basic that is that your arent understanding cap management and value. You could literally make a ton of stuff work without him. He would be only 5.6 million in a trade. Landales contract is more matching than that. What are you talking about.
Are you too dumb to keep two points separate? Yes, Green needs to improve his efficiency, and yes, he has very much improved as a 3 point shooter. Only dolts conflate everything.
Durant has played more than 62 games one time in the last 6 years. If you trade for him, what's your contingency for when he's not available? I think getting him at this stage of his career would be a terrible mistake.
If the Suns haven't accepted the Raptors' offer yet maybe it is conditional on KD signing an extension or something. Hard to imagine other teams beating that offer.
He's a career 34% prior to last season and he shot 35%. That's not even large enough to be considered anything more than statistical white noise much less "very much improved".
Jalen’s stock is so trash right now Rockets could be offering Jabari and/or the 10th pick along with him and PHX still won’t take it?
The suns don’t want Jalen green takes are so disingenuous. They don’t want him because they have a starting franchise 2, it would make no sense but it’s presented in a way to make it a slight about Jalen.
This is bad….hopefully Jabari takes this in stride though if I were him, I’d want to go to a team where a coach understands how to use me and a disciplined team where I can get more shots.
It IS a slight about Jalen....a rebuilding team is being offered 23 year old Jalen and they are saying "No, I'm good, we've got trash ass washed up Bradley Beal who we prefer" That's about the harshest criticism possible.... they don't even want him as a bench player.
If PHX just doesn’t want Jalen because they already have Booker, why not just take a Jalen+Jabari deal and then re-route Jalen to a 3rd team? Is it because Jalen is viewed as a negative on that extension and would require assets to give away?
It's not just about the raw percentages - the volume of shots is incredibly relevant. It's the fact that Green has improved his percentage on substantially more 3s per game. For example, people have made a lot of noise about Evan Mobley's increase in 3 point efficiency - however, he only takes 3 3pa per game. In other words, even though he had a better percentage from 3 as compared to Green, Green at .354 on 8.1 3pa per game had a major impact on spacing, whereas Mobley shooting .37 on 3.2 attempts per game had virtually no impact on spacing. There is a reason only 15 players last season averaged .35 or better from 3 on 8+ 3pa per game - it's incredibly difficult to keep up a decent percentage from 3 when you're shooting that volume of 3s. If you lower the number of shots to 7 3pa per game, the number of players who averaged .35 on 7+ 3pa per game increases substantially.
