You act like you know, but you don’t know any more than anyone in this forum. There is no reason for the Suns to make a deal right away unless the teams they are dealing with have given them a deadline. The only thing that could spur them to get this done is they really want a draft pick in this year’s draft. Then they would at least have to have the deal agreed upon, if not executed, in order for the other team to pick for them. Even if they had numerous landing spots for Jalen they won’t want to execute the contract until July 1st.

This is a great soft out on Jalen if Stone can pull it off.

Won’t be surprised if Durant goes elsewhere, that we still execute the Jalen to the “3rd team” deal that the FO is ironing out.

I act like I believe what has been reported, because I don't know.

You act like what has been reported must be wrong because you have weird beliefs about a specific player you are attached to despite their constant failure.

Windhorst: Wolves tried in February and are the most aggressive team. Do you trade for him if he doesn’t want to be there?

Spears: Antman is in Atlanta, not involved, not trying to change his mind. If KD doesn’t want to come, he’s respecting that and don’t expect him to fly to LA to change his mind.

    Draft still the “deadline”?

Windhorst: It’s a big mark but doesn’t have to be done by then. If they can’t get a deal they like, I don’t think they’ll make the draft a deadline.

If this is true, that means the Rockets value Bari and Tari more than Jalen. Hmm...

    PHX - BRK - HOU

    BRK: FVV (HOU) + Brooks (HOU) + #10 + BRK 2027 FRP
Nets have salaries to pursue "big" star at trade deadline.
They still have room for Ty Jerome & Kuminga's contracts that almost no team can match.
Starters: Russell (re-signed) - Cam Thomas (tendered) - Brooks - Kuminga (signed) - Sharpe (tendered) with a bench of FVV - Jerome (signed) - Whitehead - Clowney - Watford (tendered). That's without 2 top 10 draftees.
Decent team in the East with contracts to add star player. If not, FVV expires next season and they have cap room to pursue top FA.

    PHX: #19 + #27 + Claxton (BRK) + Whitmore (HOU) + Jalen Wilson (BRK)
Can use #19 to select Jace Richardson (MSU). IYKYK
    Get under both aprons.
Solid vet (Claxton) + promising young player (Whitmore) + depth player (Wilson) + 2 FRPs + IIRC they would be able to use MLE now.

HOU: KD (PHX) + Cam J (BRK) + PHI 2027 FRP
Use TPE to acquire Hauser for 3 SRPs from BOS.
    Renounce Tate.
    Under both aprons.

    Amen - Reed - Holiday
    Thrilla - Hauser - Nate
    KD - Tari - Peavy (#60)
    Cam J - Bari - Unc Jeff
    Alpe - Adams - Landale

Have Landale + Holiday + Nate + ??? to make another move if needed to get under tax or acquire a player.
Keep 6 of the 7 young core
Yes... I have pitched a version of this before b/c I truly believe it is one of the scenarios where everybody wins.
BRK may want another piece, but this trade helps them now and in the future as well.

Brooklyn In: JG, Landale,#10 and 2027 Brooklyn Swap Removal
Phoenix In: Claxton, Cam Johnson (not sure if he can be traded back), #19 and #27 to Phoenix
    KD to Houston

Brooklyn picks up a young guard with potential, another lottery pick and control of their 27 pick.
Phoenix picks up a Center, Role player and two first rounders which more than what Durant is worth. I'm not sure if Johnson can get shipped back to Phx though.
Houston gets KD without breaking the core. They still maintain the future Suns pick.

They value Fred & Sengun (and possibly Dillon) more than Jalen. Jalen is the big outgoing salary.

    Jabari & Tari currently only make $12.3M & $5.6M.

    Big outgoing salary
    Fred $44.8 (TO)
    Jalen $33.3
    Dillon $22.1

Not trading (not for 37 year old)
    Sengun $33.9
    Amen $9.6

    Can’t be traded
    Adams $14.1

They probably prefer not to trade
    Jabari $12.3
    Reed $10.6
    Tari $5.6

    Salary filler
    Jock $8M
    Holiday $4.9 (TO)
    Cam $3.5
    Nate $2.2

One has their usefulness diminished by addition of durant and one does not.

Ime loves dillon too and I don't see them moving 2 starters for Durant.

We're trying to add shooting. How does trading them our best 3pt shooter help?

Durant would be fulfilling the role asked of Jalen he failed at.

I like Tari, but I wouldn't sign him to an extension. He gets hurt too much and isn't going to be a starter here.

I feel like he's easier to replace than Jabari who can do some small ball 5...
