I'm not sure why you think that's a point.

If you do Jalen, Jock, and Holiday; they are still short to match Durant's salary.

That's why some of those young pieces are needed.

Again, Green and Landale plus 2 picks and nothing else.....

Should be enough, and keeps the Rockets stocked with young talent.

Ok, well, Ime isn't picking Durant over hos boys FVV or Brooks so that leaves Sengun.

If it's FVV it only takes 10m more. Another reason that the Jalen stuff is BS that Phoenix is releasing to the press. They stupidly think they can compete instead of getting expiring contracts and draft picks that will allow them to re-build once Beal is off the books. Their future is much more bright to get FVV, Landale, and one of our undeveloped players like Cam and picks than any other trade they are going to get. Landale can be released immediately saving them 8m in cap space and 16m in luxury taxes. FVV can be released after next year saving them another 44m. Beal is through the year after and they will have a ton of cap space and at least 2 of their own draft picks and still have Booker.

I bet Stone is staying firm on his offer of Brooks, Jock, Cam, Holiday, and #10. PHX probably want Jalen, Bari, #Tari and #10…

Yeah, I misunderstood your previous post. Thought you were suggesting we pick the Suns’ guy with the intention of THEN tempting them to make a deal. Re-reading it, I get it now.

    Carry on.

FVV helps them create a culture and is a win now player… Cam gives them youth and potential, #10 gives them a pick. Lol

It won't be FVV though. Ime wants him.

You want a first time point guard backed up by a first time point guard?

What is Jalen going to do other than piss off Durant with dumb shots?

Ask yourself do you want Brooks taking 10 shots a game or Jalen?

I'd take the better shooting and defensem Durant is being discussed because Jalen is a failure at what his role is supposed to be. Durant would be doing what Jalen is there for.

If only. I'm in the same boat. That's all you get. Take it or leave it.

I agree that Ime foolishly wants FVV. It’s not just jump shots that count. Durant will draw double teams that will loosen up the offense for everyone else. It’s a pretty simple concept.

Sounds like from the tweet it’s not a sure thing that the Spurs are even offering Vassell.

Green isn't an attractive piece at all so no surprise the Suns don't want him.

I don't think it so much "needed" as wanted by the Suns. They are trying to get bidding teams to up their price. That is my only point. The Rockets could also include Jeenathan + a warm body signed to minimum contract to meet the matching requirements. They could sign Uncle Jeff to a $5MM contract extension and include him in the trade to meet the matching requirements. There are a lot of paths that don't need Tari or Cam.

Regarding Bari, id prefer to give up eason if it came to that. I dont want to give him up. That said, I dont know how much playing with him will rub off on his game. Not saying it wouldnt. Couldnt hurt for sure, but I kind of think either a player is good or they arent. Yeah you can try to incorporate some things you learn but either you have the ability to do it or not.

With Brooks, im getting the impression that they actually dont want to get rid of him. What he brings on the court is valuable enough, but i dont think they want to lose the intangibles he brings as far as cranking up the intensity and aggressiveness which we all know Ime loves. He kind of sets the tone and identity of the team. I think at worse they see him as a bench player if the trade is made but i think ideally theyd rather just replace Jalen with Kd and have a starting lineup of Fred, Amen, Dillon, KD, Sengun with Amen taking on more ball handling and pushing into his next phase of growth.
