funny cuz some of our fans on this forum woulda traded all that for KD and it blows my mind. Considering how much leverage we really have in this situation.
I've not seen anyone here willing to deal either Sengun or Amen straight up for Durant. Leverage isn't everything. Values are subjective. You think the picks are the most valuable but they might like Gobert more than their own picks. There are lots of bad gms. You can't assume they all know what they are doing and valuing assets similarly.
The problem is you have to match salaries. I think Ime values Brooks and FVV more than Green. They have to move at least one of: Sengun FVV Brooks Green Green seems like Ime's preference...
Does he want an extension or does he want to be a lame duck coach in a year? Stone has that over him.
Why does it not make sense trading FVV the guy who shot worse from the field and 3pt line than Jalen? The PG of the team that's horrendous at generating good offense and assists? You're just saying you're subjective opinion without any logic. If you replace any starters whatsoever for KD, we win the series. That was your test. It was a bad test.
Does Ime value FVV over BOTH Green and Brooks? Or both Green and Jabari? Of course not. That's what it would take. We're not trading 2 starters as well as the highest pick any team is offering. What are you crazy? Brooks and Green both had better seasons than FVV. You guys must be hallucinating. Udoka knows full will the reason Green underperformed against the Warriors is because he did exactly what Ime asked: pass out of the double team immediately, let the rest of the team go 4 on 3. The rest of the team sucked balls given the attention Green received, they just kept getting midrange jumpers. Durant/Brooks/Green gives you 3 elite catch and shoot 3pt shooters (all above 40% last season). They would be psychotic to pass that up with Amen and Sengun incapable of shooting. I have a feeling we're going to get him. Durant has already said he doesn't want Minnesota. Miami beat reporters are saying Miami is out. Raptors won't trade anything valuable for a 1 year rental. It's us and San Antonio.
That take had 2 offers being weighed and it was horribly skewed against the Rockets. Despite Ware having a good season, his value is still near Sheppard's. So now we weigh Jabari, Green and 10th Pick vs Andrew Wiggins? The more lopsided these reports are, the more I think it's a bluff for Rockets to bid against themselves.
Brutal. And guys here are flirting with the cute idea of JG + Cam + Tari + 10 + 27 or 29 Suns Pick for him ON THE CONDITION that he will sign a 1-2 yr extension. I kid you not.
The Rockets would be crazy to trade Green for Durant. Without Green, the Rockets have very little scoring or creation out of the guard spots. And as inconsistent as Green has been throughout his career, I’m confident he’d look a whole lot better playing alongside a legitimate offensive threat with actual spacing on the floor.
