So the Grizz got the Murphy package for Bane. So who is willing to do the Bane package for Murphy? Multiple picks (16th/2026/2028/2029(swap)/2030) Vet (KCP) Young Player (Cole Anthony) 10th/2026/2028/2029(swap)/2030 Dillon [Choose a young Rocket] ¿Sí o no?
The front office carousel. Back in April 2025. "The New Orleans Pelicans have hired Troy Weaver as their senior vice president of basketball operations, a source told ESPN's Andscape on Wednesday. Weaver will report to new Pelicans executive vice president of basketball operations Joe Dumars..." Weaver was ran out of town in Detroit, has another job because of his connections. Now is part of Dumar's org. They may be feeling out the market price for Trey Murphy III, but that front office might have a type: AAU, players that shined in high school rankings, baller type of players. They may very much like guys like Jalen. Many orgs got smarter and more analytical, it became harder to pull off a Daryl. There's the odd Mavs GM situation. With Griffin gone and Dumar in, Pels might have become one of those orgs, where other GMs can test to see if they can fleece.
JG + Brooks + Landale & Holiday's non-gntd contracts + 27'Pho.FRP for KD + Grayson Allen + #29pick combine the #29 pick and Whitmore for a pick in the teens to draft Collin Murray-Boyles, who fits Ime's system perfectly. (Ime wont play Whitmore anyway) trade FVV for Z.LaVine for better shooting/scoring and let Amen man the point more. (LaVine is actually a good on ball defender, maybe better than FVV at this point, while a terrible help defender but i think Ime can fix that) call Daryl to see if he's willing to trade the #3 for #10 + Jabari Smith jr., and get VJ Edgecombe (to replace J.G. for the "future") split the MLE to sign C.Boucher ($8.6Mil., to replace Jabari), and CP3($5.5Mil. to replace FVV's leadership) resign Adams (already done) and Tate (on a cheap deal) Vet. Min. candidates: T.H.T., Al Horford you got this lineup to start the season, and maybe a little twist at the deadline, and most importantly keep most of the draft capitals to transit after KD gone in 3 years. Sengun, Adams, Horford K.Durant, Boucher, CMB T.Eason, G.Allen, J.Tate Z.LaVine, Egecombe, THT Thompson, CP3/Shepperd
See if the Grizz want to trade up to 10 now? They could give us #16 in this years draft plus a future first [possibly not worth it from their point of view]
Two potential trades to get a 2026 pick 1. 10th for 15th and our own 2026 FRP back with OKC 2. 10th for 16th and the worst of Suns/Was/Mem (1-8 protected) with MEM
It’s interesting. Memphis can choose to tank in 2026 and they’d potentially have two high lotto picks in a great draft. Plus they’ve now got all those future picks. And if they want to deal Ja for picks/prospects they could get an even bigger jump on the rebuild and then just extend and build around 25yr old JJJ. Honestly that’s probably what I would do. Take this opportunity to move on from Ja and do a “gap year” for a couple high lotto picks in 2026.
I agree. I was looking at WS/48 (where Jalen is nearly double Jordan) and BPM/VORP which both slightly favor Jalen. I confess I don't know much about EPM, I need to educate myself on that metric.
Correct, but they can make it 2 separate trades if agreed on. like JG+Brooks for KD in one trade and Landale+Holiday for Allen in another.
For the millionth time, Phoenix cannot aggregate contracts in a trade. Durant will be the No they can't. The league would consider that an obvious work around to the rules and would not approve it. The league put the 2nd apron rules in for a reason. They won't tolerate teams skirting the rules unless it's the Lakers, GSW, or the Knicks.
jalen to memphis for 16 in 25 plus 26 suns pick and cole anthony anthony and 16 to nets for 27 and 36 picks on 2025 we've dumped jalen's salary and have picks 10 27 36 and 59 for more trades in 2025 plus we've added the suns 26 pick which has a decent shot at a lottery pick by moving kd out now we can play the free agent market
