This draft will have a lot of diamonds hidden in the late round.

I think you are spot on and half of this forum will buy into it being the best move.

If stone can turn #10 in this draft into future first rounders that’s a great move. I will pray for that outcome. Better than drafting a player at #10 IMO

Any move that ends with either FVV or Green in the starting backcourt is the wrong move. Any move that ends with both as our starting backcourt is definitely the wrong move.

I think it's really unlikely that the 10th pick in this years draft wins a starting spot in the backcourt this coming year.

I'm all about trading Jalen this summer but I don't think that's possible until July.

If we keep the pick, I'd like one of the developmental guards- Jakučionis or Demin. Then hopefully one of them or Reed can develop into a quality starting PG and unseat FVV in a year or two. FVV is fine for another year or two but is the long-term solution to nothing.

Nah your argument is you need that MVP type of player to win. Siakam, Hali and Obi Toppin none of these guys were seen as MVP players. Obi, Mathurin and Hali are all similar in age with similar timeline. Siakam is older byt was obtained for only Bruce Brown and scrubs. They actually did the Siakam trade last year and lost in the playoffs similar to the Rockets. Did they panic and wanna package their young guys for soon to be washed stars? No.

I dont mind trading our guys for upgrades but they have to be young and in the same timeline as Amen and Sengun. 7+ yr gap is a no.

You have zero patience the Rox already over achieved instead of being happy you wanna burn it all down for a dumb gamble. 2 yrs of KD or even 5 yrs of Giannis lol wtf. Nah give me that decade+ window with Sengun and Amen.

With Adams resigning I think it’s much less likely that we draft Maluach or Queen. I get that u don’t want to draft for need, but there really is no pathway for minutes now.

same timeline is big lie time. Rox advanced when they brought in vets. OKC floundered when their youth broke up.

one size fitteth all? Ptui to that. Gimme Zingis for Brooks and otherwise run it back? Fine. Can Johnson a rumor with legs? Fine.

BTW - ‘24 Ps were swept by Cs in four very competitive contests. Meaning? Well, good case for Ps running it back. And they ain’t quit runnin’ since.

That's why you pick up a late 1st rounder and draft some one like Kalkbrenner and let him dominate a full Gleague season.

Kalkbrenner should have a professional future. He’s got a well-rounded game. He just needs more strength.

I like him, but he can't shoot a jumper at all.

Rox brought in vets but that because due to the salaries they have space to add vets. Is the core Amen and Sengun or FVV and Brooks? If we add a KD we should be trading Amen and Sengun to maximize the window we have now.

Getting swept is competitive? Ok So Rox went to 7 vs GSW by that logic running it back is correct

Eurostash, for 1 more year imo. He has the tools to succeed, but he's raw.

    The Rockets can't develop him.

my point, in all its muddiness, is that there’s no singular way. How should TheGoodGuys move forward? IMO with smallish but satisfactorily sufficient steps.

And I believe 98.7% that Alpi and Amen could take Rox further without DB & FVV than the latter duo without the former.

    Mud. Washed. Clear.
