I feel like the Rockets are really being underrated too, could be my bias talking, but just about every single team has a rough go of the playoffs their first time. Experience is a REAL thing that matters and this season was literally all about getting playoff experience. We also ALL wanted to avoid the Warriors, we knew they were a matchup problem and proved to be one. I doubt Jalen even looks as bad as he does if it were literally any other team because the Warriors are one team 9 outta 10, he sucks again, consistently. So it's no surprise that he went out and sucked for that entire series pretty much. I do think the Pacers show that sometimes you don't need to make changes just to make them. I'm not for selling the farm for Durant. I want him at a good price or not at all.
same constraints apply to us if Jalen is a main piece in the deal, given his poison pill deal. Teams can agree to terms of a deal and just execute later
4th on a terrible defensive team is bad, but it’s a lot higher than 8th KD isn’t being paid to anchor a defense or have Dyson Daniels impact on that end. Are we acting like he would be a defensive sieve on the Rockets or something? if we’re using DBPM to judge people’s defense then Dillon Brooks been trash 99% of his career and Jock is on par with Steven Adams…James Harden had the same DBPM as Zubac, higher than DJJr and Kawhi Aside from the Suns being a massive disappointment (although they played at a 44 win pace in the games with KD), KD barely missed the required games played cut-off the NBA newly implemented to be selected for All-NBA, that’s why he’s not there. Or do u want to have us believe that guys like Jalen Williams and Towns are better players than KD? He is still playing at an All-NBA level. Luka is nowhere to be found either on that list. Do u now have Mobley, Towns, and Jalen Williams as better players than AD? He’s nowhere to be found as well. We exceeded expectations, great, but literally only 4 games separated us from the play-in. KD is at most here for 3 years, and people talking like we’re handing him a 5 year deal and giving up all the young players and picks mortgaging our future “We would be the team giving up the star potential player in bad trades like others if we traded Sengun, Amen etc.” Idk where stuff like this is coming from because none of them are involved in a possible KD trade. We are talking about the likes of Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, or maybe Jabari as well as like the 10th pick in the draft…none of them are star potential players we are talking about substituting 35 mil/yr of Jalen Green for KD’s higher salary…the guy who is 10x better and makes the team significantly better u would still have Amen Thompson here…u would still have Sengun here…u would still have most of the young players here…u would still have most of your picks left
Ok, it's going to happen though. Brooks spaces to open up the paint. That means FVV to the bench. Not sure they are ready to turn the offense over to Amen. I would, but I'm not Ime and he values Brooks and FVV. Jabari can't play point so Amen playing 1-4 makes more sense off the bench playing 35 a night.... plus Jabari has better size....
No. Just no. Amen will be a main focus on the court now. Unless he completely bombs. He’s proven to be the engine
I agree already. Now you just need to convince Ime to bench one of his boys. I'm not holding my breath. Amen is the logical choice to backup 1-4. Jabari can't run point when FVV hits the bench or misses time. I think it's incredibly silly to worry about Amen starting games when he will probably lead the team in minutes.
