Been working off and on in the garden all morning. You talked about a couple of years, and I asked about the "bookend" years, and you said you didn't look, so I looked out of pure curiosity. Just an innocuous little fact blurb.

Have we possibly found the spot for Diaz like we did Pena? Wouldn't that be something if it gets him going. But I suppose Paredes will go right back in the 2 hole in a few days.

 

Pena has been unbelievable. What an amazing player he has become. I feel like he won’t regress. I mean, he might not stay at .333 but I think he continues to dominate. He has figured it out.

also, averages can be skewed. You gotta look up how many times they had weak offensive games after scoring double digits.

 

Diaz got going when Espada bumped him up to Christian Walker's spot.

 

Dana said he wasn’t an infielder - Dummy Joe put him in the infield in a game last year with Dana in attendance. Whitcomb had 11 errors in like two innings—— Dana was mentally scarred. Whitcomb will never be a real big leaguer for the Astros regardless of whether he puts up Bonds numbers in Sugar Land.

Whitcomb needs to go play in Japan.

 

Diaz will continue to have at least 1 bad at bat almost every game. It’s the kind of hitter he is. He will also have some awesome at bats.

 

Can he play 1B, I mean.......we all saw Moneyball.
