Well, I guess Whitcomb plays LF. Unless Chas magically is healed from what I don’t believe was likely an injury. instead we will probably get Rodgers and Dubon every night.
You don't think Chas is hurt, he's just willfully on the IR for reasons that don't benefit him at all?
I mean- it seemed pretty coincidental. and I’d argue it does benefit him as he has options remaining and they could have instead sent him down to AAA.
One rule I would like to see changed is that I would like for teams to be able to option injured players to the minors. It doesn’t seem right to me that a team could have a top prospect come up and immediately get hurt and the team loses all that service time. If a rookie pitcher comes up blows out his elbow, a team could end up only getting 1 year of pre-arbitration performance out of him.
I can't agree with that. The average MLB career is under 6 years. Most guys never even reach free agency. They gotta get what they can.
Think he's known for his defense. But I think he's not a good hitter. He had a strong spring training. I thought he was making the team but got beat out by Rogers.
There may have even been a thread about him. I saw his name thrown around on here a little during spring.
