Altuve's quest for the 300/400 club

Ricky Henderson had 297 homeruns and few thousand stolen bases.

 

Altuve is on pace to play 155g this year which would be the most since 2016.

Including this pace, he has averaged 137g per season since 2021.

155g this year + 137 each of the next 4 years = 638 more games.

105 hr and 65 sb in 595 g since 2021.

If he can maintain this pace, that's 351 hr and 391 sb.

His HR have come way down (25 fewer if use 2025 pace) but he has a bit of a cushion.

SB have also come down (11 fewer if use 2025 pace) but those are more under his control because he can attempt a steal anytime he is on with the base ahead of him vacant.

It looks like HR will be much easier to get than SB.

 

And here I am just hoping and being happy if he gets over 3k hits.

The only record I want Altuve to break is the postseason homerun record. That would be so sick.

 

Good call. Totally doable, in fact I'll be disappointed if he doesn't get 3 more

 

Especially since he's playing in the same era as Aaron Judge.
