So you're saying (Hypothetically speaking)... BRK: Brooks (HOU) into TPE + #10 (via HOU) + Porzingis or J. Holiday (BOS) BOS: Landale (HOU) + Jalen Wilson (BRK) + 3 SRPs (via HOU) + #26 (via BRK via NYK) PHX: Green (HOU) + #27 (via BRK via HOU) + 2027 PHX FRP (via HOU) possibly + Clowney (BRK) HOU: Durant (PHX) + Hauser (BOS) + #19 (via BRK) [Sorber[ BOS & PHX can now get below aprons by renouncing a few players. HOU declines Fred's option, but re-signs him to a 2 year, $40M contract with PO on year 2. HOU re-signs Adams for 2 years, $28M with PO on year 2 HOU has TPE + ~$10M for FAs FVV - R33D - A. Holiday Amen - ??? - Nate KD - Hauser - ??? Bari - Tari - ??? Alpi - Adams - Sorber Personally I would prefer to add Cam Johnson + keep Thrilla & move FVV, but I could see the logic in the move you referred to hypothetically
If the Lakers would bite. Absolutely do this. Knetch is better than anything we could draft @10. He is a NBA proven rotational player. He’ll never leap frog over Reaves for playing time. But will fit in here nicely. Please stop with “he’s 24”. So what, the Rockets window is 4-5 years max. A little added maturity is a plus with the current roster.
The Rockets stand should be FVV and the 10th pick with a one year extension to Durant. There should be a quick deadline to Phoenix and Durant to accept or move on. Phoenix and Durant have absolutely no leverage.
Of course. All these demands by Phoenix for Durant are either clickbaits from reporters that don’t know sh*t or are Phoenix trying to trump up his price with “leaks”. In the end, Phoenix has no leverage when it comes to Durant and no interest in moving Booker.
I have believed all along that the Suns will not sit idly by and let the Rockets make Lottery picks at their expense while they are stuck in second apron hell with no way (or totally unappealing ways) to get out of it because they don’t have control of their picks. While the Suns may be putting it out there to the league that Booker is not available, he should be available to one team (Luka style). And now that the Suns have apparently admitted that they want full control of their draft capital, the negotiations should be over. If Stone doesn’t walk away with Booker, he is not worth jack as a GM.
I like most of this but I would take one of the top guards left in the draft at #19 then offer that $10 mil to Brook Lopez (who it's reported the Rockets are targeting) this would slide Sengun back to the 4 and have him play off Lopez and Adams at the 5. PG - FVV / R33D / #19 pick SG - Amen / Holiday / Nate SF - KD / Tari / Hauser PF - Sengun / Bari ..C - Lopez / Adams
There's little interest in someone making 55+ per year that isnt a Top 10 player. Phoenix can huff and puff all they want but Durant isnt netting them anything thats going to move the needle (maybe Julius Randle) and no one is trading a Kings Ransom for Booker.
they're not going to get full control of their draft capital, their 26', 28' FRP, and almost all 2nd round picks owned by the Wizards. if they decided to trade Booker too it has to be involving the Wizards. i think what their front office said that they intended to keep and build around Booker is true, they'll just trade KD for some movable salaries and draft picks.
That organization sounds more and more stupid. They think everyone they traded for was just on loan and when things don’t work out they can just send the players back in return for their picks? How do they think they are going to get full control of their draft capital, by selling off Nassir Little or Royce O’Neal? Complete buffoonery from top to bottom over there.
The phoenix front office is SO clueless, I wonder if they’ll even realize how little leverage they have.
i think this is right. Booker is part of the head coaching interviews; he’s not going anywhere. They will retool around Booker while acquiring some draft picks; doesn’t have to be their own. So I expect them to be asking for a combo of win-now plsyers and/or prospects, and picks for Durant. As others have said, the Spurs don’t really have the right player assets; they’re either too good to trade or not good enough. They do have the picks. Houston is in a much better position to trade for KD. We’ve got win-now vets like Fred and Dillon, we’ve got prospects, and we’ve got picks.
Darius Garland for Dillon and a win-now asset from a 3rd team. We move Fred in a deal for Durant. Garland Durant Sengun Amen Bari Tari Reed Holiday = contending team not sure what we do with Jalen and Cam
Sengun and Lopez would be a horrible defensive front court. Everyone would play 4 or 5 out on us and eat our pathetic defense alive. Really bad idea. Our issues are all related to the backcourt, more so FVV than Jalen.
always hurt not compatible with donovan mitchell evidently team is stagnant I don't expect them to move him that quickly
