@deb4rockets lol the head of FEMA has no idea what hurricane season even is and the MAGA cultists have audacity to cry about DEI. They install nothing but incompetent morons while complaining about minorities and women being in positions of power.

    Dumbest of the dumbest cult

My guess is he was just being a smartass. I doubt any adult in America is unaware we have a hurricane season unless they grew up in a cave or somewhere completely off the grid with no tv, internet, or mobile phone.

He wasn't being a smartass. Read the article. He sincerely didn't know there was a hurricane season which is why he was slashing funding by 40%

Americans' confidence in the economic outlook is reaching new highs.... and for the first time in decades, Americans believe the country is on the right track. Stock market powering higher.

Lowering taxes, promoting individual freedoms, ending wars, stopping government waste and corruption (USAID), fighting for fair trade to create jobs at home, not in Asia, strengthening our military and not turning them into a PRIDE mockery, promoting energy production to lower gas prices and not raising prices with green energy fantasies, restoring integrity in our legal system by ending political persecutions of opponents, closing the border to threats, and supporting our police and first responders. All common sense approaches to restoring American Greatness.

Thank you President Trump for restoring hope to America. The corrupt and dishonest Democrats look worse and worse by the day.

    GOOD DAY

Loss of Academic freedoms, loss of freedom of speech, the current attempts of suspension of habeas corpus

What wars have ended? Trump is constantly talking about taking over Canada, Greenland, using the military in Panama, and he's siding with Russia in their attempted takeover of Ukraine. His "Peace Plan" is always let one side have their way.

And yet no actual waste or corruption was found. And now China is positioned to curry favor with the rest of the world by filling in the gaps from where we left everyone stranded.

And yet the "negotiated" deal ended with China paying less tariffs and the U.S. paying more tariffs than before trump began this trade war. Plus, the U.S. is currently eliminating a ton of $100K-$180K jobs in order to bring back a bunch of $17 an hour manufacturing jobs? We currently have half a million low paying manufacturing jobs that we cannot fill..why do we want more of those?

and yet we're now more vulnerable to attacks than ever before due to DOGE cuts to civilian contractors supporting the military infrastructure. Plus, Russians using DOGE accounts to access government databases (whether intentional or not by Musk - we won't know until enough Senators decide to be brave enough to investigate) is a large security issue that is just being forgotten in order to placate and not embarrass trump.

Many oil companies have already said that there will be no more large increases in production as long as the price of oil remains low. In May, active rig counts hit their lowest level since January. Let's not forget, we hit energy independence highs under Biden - and that is partially due to the use of green energy.

Trump Is literally holding law firms hostage with threats. Since the beginning of his administration, trump has sought legal retribution against over 100 political targets.

Border crossings at the end of Biden's term were the same as at the end of trumps previous term. Any "crisis" was already over. Plus, immigrants commit crimes at half the rate of native born U.S. citizens - the crimes angle is a boogie man. As for supporting our police and first responders..tell that to the officers that were beat by J6ers who were then pardoned. Or tell that to the 911 firefighters and police officers and survivors that just lost their medical and mental care after the trump administration implemented severe cuts to the World Trace Center Health Program.

    GOOD DAY

He's obviously no DEI hire; he has gardening experience and worked at a grocery store...I feel safer.

22-Year-Old Leading Terrorism Prevention Center at DHS

A division within the Department of Homeland Security tasked with preventing terrorism is being led by a 22-year-old recent college graduate.

Thomas Fugate, who graduated magna c*m laude with a degree in politics and law from the University of Texas at San Antonio a year ago, is now spearheading the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships at DHS, ProPublica reported Tuesday.

The center, also known as CP3, is mainly concerned with terrorism prevention and supports nationwide efforts to combat targeted attacks like hate-fueled violence.
“CP3 strengthens our country’s ability to prevent targeted violence and terrorism nationwide through funding, education, training, evidence-based resources, increased public awareness, and strategic partnerships across every level of government, the private sector, and in local communities,” reads the center’s mission statement on its website.

Fugate was appointed as a “special assistant” in an immigration office at the DHS in February, according to ProPublica. He then assumed leadership of CP3 in May after its previous director, Bill Braniff, resigned following staff cuts, the outlet adds.

Prior to assuming his role at the DHS, Fugate served as an “advance team member” on President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, according to his LinkedIn page. He also interned at several political organizations including The Heritage Foundation, widely known as the think tank behind Project 2025, and the Texas House of Representatives.
A DHS agency official told ProPublica that Fugate was “temporarily” offered a leadership role at CP3 for his “work ethic and success.”

“Due to his success, he has been temporarily given additional leadership responsibilities in the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships office,” the official told the outlet in an email. “This is a credit to his work ethic and success on the job.”

DHS did not immediately respond to The Daily Beast’s request for comment.

One counterterrorism researcher, who worked with CP3 officials for years, told ProPublica that Fugate’s appointment “sounds like putting the intern in charge.”

“Maybe he’s a wunderkind. Maybe he’s Doogie Howser and has everything at 21 years old, or whatever he is, to lead the office. But that’s not likely the case,” the anonymous researcher said.

The office once employed about 80 employees but now has fewer than 20 following staffing cuts, former employees told ProPublica.
