    1. Completely untrue. The U.S. is not immune from a financial collapse. Most experts agree the U.S. is on a fiscally unsustainable path and have been for a long time.

    2. I am open minded concerning all types of spending cuts and/or revenue increases.

Social security, medicare and medicaid make up 50% of the federal budget by themselves. We cannot address government spending without addressing these programs.

Who said I agree with that?

What did sleepy Joe do for the budget?

Sleepy Joe had deficits of $2.77 trillion, $1.38 trillion, $1.70 trillion and $1.83 trillion.

Those figures are unsustainable and will cause the U.S. government to collapse under the weight of its debt in the long run.

LMAO moron, thats still not more than Trump added during his first term, AND IT WONT BE DURING HIS SECOND TERM EITHER BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL ADDING TO IT. Acting like Democrats are responsible for a bad economy when you morons have Bush and Trump as your flag bearers is hilarious.

I'm not acting like, "Democrats are responsible for a bad economy" - In fact, I don't believe I have mentioned the economy at all.

I'm saying the United States is on a financially unsustainable path.

Warren Buffet agrees. Everyone with a brain can see it. Politicians only need to think in terms of 2 or 6 years though so everyone kicks the can down the road.

    Eventually this will blow up.

seems impossible for u cultists to make an argument without some sad attempt at whataboutism

4 trillion added to the debt from the party of alleged fiscal responsibility while cutting social programs and health insurance that millions of Americans depend on…but y’all claim to be “America 1st”

y’all are the biggest farce and con job in modern history

Run away. Avoid the topic. You know you have no leg to stand on.

The debt and deficits are unsustainable.

Neither party are meaningfully addressing it.

Sleepy Joe added $4.7 trillion to the debt.

If you had a brain in your skull you would know the suffering will be much worse when this house of cards collapses than any short term pain associated with spending cuts.

We accumulated more debt during Trump so you honestly don't give a crap about debt. You just don't want to help anyone that you don't care about.

Democrats will feed 100 people to make sure not even one person goes hungry. Republicans would starve 100 people to make sure one person doesn't get more than they deserve.

So why is it that the most vulnerable people are first in line on the chopping block to fix the issue??? You get the wealth from the top earners, reduce military spending, and then focus on reforms to medicare and social security in that order. But this is not the way its being done. Republicans dont do this in good faith.

Ah yes, the Russian arm of a US political party...

Reversing the old axiom which Peter the First introduced into military law, and to which Catherine II gave lip-service, namely, that it is better to pardon ten criminals than to condemn one innocent man, the G.P.U. sacrificed a hundred innocents rather than miss one "traitor."

    ------

    Opposite of our "historical values"...

In this article, the author attempts to interpret the doctrine ascribed in 1769 by William Blackstone that “the law holds that it is better that 10 guilty persons escape, than that 1 innocent suffer (innocent person be convicted).” It is presupposed that any ratio presented should not be taken to indicate that it is worse to convict an innocent person than to acquit a guilty one. An interpretation presented as more adequate is one from an 1895 U.S. Supreme Court case which stated, “it is better to let the crime of a guilty person go unpunished than to condemn the innocent.” This doctrine was dated back to Roman law.

Mix and match with various domestic policies for optimal performance...

The poor will suffer most once the government collapses under the weight of itself.

Which Democrats have played their part in.

What did Sleepy Joe do for the debts and deficits?

I do care about the national debt.

    So should you.

You should encourage reductions in government spending.

The suffering you will see when this all collapses will pale in comparison to the immediate pain of reduced spending and benefits.

Because Social Security, Net interest, Health, Medicare and Income security make up 73% of federal spending. These are things which must be paid [interest on debt] or programs which directly effect the vulnerable [broadly speaking]. You cannot meaningfully address the deficit and debt without addressing these programs.

More tax breaks for the wealthy in the past 20 years hasn't helped...not like you really give a **** about the deficit anyways.

Ah, yes, we will just tax the rich our way out of it. Classic Democratic nonsense.

    How's that working in Europe?

Every large and developed Western or Central European country is struggling under the strain of supporting its welfare state.

The state simply cannot provide the programs and benefits you desire long term. It's fiscally impossible and it's all going to come crashing down. What large state is doing so or projects to do so successfully in the future? UK? France? Germany? Spain? Italy?

But there are more ways to reform these programs than simple cuts, like lifting the payroll tax cap, or fund Medicare better by negotiating drug prices or taxing higher earners. This is better than just simple cuts which you do not include in your argument.

Changing the subject again. He lowered the deficit compared to Trump. Your turn.

Hmmm...why not cut entitlements AND listen closely now, raise taxes? It worked for decades and now that the party of fiscal responsibility is nothing more than a sham or cult, well...
