looks like he hurt his hand? Yordan injury protocol? Expect a misdiagnosis followed by a proper diagnosis 4-6 weeks out
All I know is that this is proper, official, Bat Country I turned all the porch lights off, and turned one on about 20 feet away in the yard, and It's like the Battle of Britain out there watching swarms of them swoop around and destroy every flying bug I'm easily entertained and all, but this is pretty ****ing cool
...as the Milkmaids and Boyscouts say at Kyle Field as they grab their nuts on a defensive stand: "HOLD 'EM, AGGIES, HOLD 'EM"
Besides the game where Brown gave up 5 runs to the TB Rays, every other one of his starts should have been a win.
I lived on Lake Conroe and watching the bats and marlins in the evening was one of my favorite pastimes, of course, the glass of Scotch played a role as well.
I like it. Meyers has started 30 in a row and there is a RH on the mound. Day off tomorrow gives Jake 2 rest days. 162 games is a grind.
Dezenzo and Whitcomb project to be complimentary players. It's not as important to give them (nearly) everyday ABs like Melton and Smith who project to be major reasons the Astros continue to compete or not.
Cam may be a difference maker someday. I have my doubts about Melton. I don’t think our competitive future hangs on him at all. He’s almost 25 and his minor league #’s are just ok. I feel like, with all the issues we had in CF last year, he would’ve been called up then. Of course, I’ve never seen him play and I could be way off. Just seems like another JAG to me.
