Do the Knicks make a run at KD? Fire Thibs?

 

The team overachieved, to be honest. The only way I see Thibs getting fired is if they lose in the 1st round next year.

 

Not sure about KD, but they're definitely going to be hunting for some kind of piece. In all honesty, I could imagine it being an attractive place to go. It used to be that it was just the market but the teams were mostly ass, now the right star could walk into a ready made contender if they played it right.

Knicks were a little disappointing in the regular season: 15-23 record against teams above .500

beating Boston these playoffs might buy him a little time, but they choked away game 1 vs the Pacers in historic fashion and went out sad in game 6

I know how bad this team was before FVV, but we have thoroughbreds that need a pg that plays at much faster pace. It makes the game a lot easier for players like JG, Tari, Amen and Jabari.

 

The Knicks sent out so many picks in the trade for Bridges that it will be difficult to upgrade the roster unless they send out at least one good player.

Their situation with Draft Picks is poor, so improving the roster won't be easy.

All I can say is they won't fire Thibs.

As for improving the roster, they must play better defense. Even with OG and Mikal Bridges as starters, their two best players are so lacking on that end it's hard to overcome.

Knicks also need more depth. They hit a wall finishing the 3rd quarter that signaled they wouldn't have a big finishing kick in the 4th.
