Who did not know trade agreements were hard deals to make?

The same person who did not know that a health care bill to replace ACA was hard.

Oregon’s attorney general argues in U.S. Trade Court to strike down Trump tariffs

US Trade Court---siding with Oregon's AG---blocks Trump's 'Liberation Day' tariffs,

The Manhattan-based Court of International Trade said the U.S. Constitution gives the U.S. Congress exclusive powers to regulate commerce with other countries that are not trumped by the president's emergency powers to safeguard the U.S. economy.

The lawsuit, filed by the nonpartisan Liberty Justice Center on behalf of five small U.S. businesses that import goods from countries targeted by the duties, was the first major legal challenge to Trump's tariffs.

The companies - which range from a New York wine and spirits importer to a Virginia-based maker of educational kits and musical instruments - have said the tariffs will hurt their ability to do business.

The lawsuit is one of seven court challenges to Trump's tariff policies, along with challenges from 13 U.S. states and other groups of small businesses.

the courts are the only thing that have stopped this disaster of a regime from being apocalyptic to this country

with all the damage and destruction they’ve done, imaging just how much worse it could be

The court’s ruling also means that the US government may have to pay back duties it has already collected.

The Justice Department quickly filed an appeal, setting the stage for more legal arguments over the extent of Trump’s tariff authorities. Ultimately, the case could end up at the Supreme Court.

Trump had justified his imposition of tariffs on dozens of countries based on declarations of national emergencies related to fentanyl trafficking and the threat of persistent trade deficits. Trump also imposed retaliatory tariffs on countries that responded in kind.

But the court found that the federal law that authorizes the president to impose tariffs, embargoes and sanctions in response to national emergencies — the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 — “does not authorize the President to impose unbounded tariffs.

Second federal court rules against Trump's tariffs

“The International Economic Emergency Powers Act does not authorize the President to impose the tariffs set forth”
in four executive orders Trump issued earlier this year, D.C. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras said in a decision
ordering a preliminary injunction on the collection of the duties on the two plaintiffs who brought the case.

There is no order, only chaos. It continues, no matter what Courts rule.

If you think the Court can restore order - think again. There's only one path to restore it: when the chaos-maker no longer has power.

Chaos can look like an orchestra - I’m sure it’s beautiful entertainment for some. But I’d rather have a smooth ride than be constantly entertained by chaos. No normal, busy person living their life has the time or energy to be force-fed that kind of spectacle.

No system built on stability can function effectively under sustained chaos. It might be captivating to some, but there’s a real, damaging price to pay. I’d suggest those who enjoy that kind of orchestra stick to traditional venues for entertainment. Or, if you must, live in places where citizens are force-fed chaos as a happy distraction from whatever ills they face.

Most of us would rather just live our lives without having to worry about a system spinning out on rough seas - entertainment aside - while the ship takes on water and risks sinking beause there isn't a serious, stable person at the helm.
