Would you still be a Rockets fan if your favorite player was traded?

They traded Chris Paul years ago and have been on a downward spiral ever since. I'm still here though.

If you change your allegiance, then you aren’t really a Rockets fan. Besides, the longest tenured Rocket is Tate with a whopping 5 years and 6,000 minutes, while the team has had only one winning season in his tenure. How could you grow that attached to any current Rocket in such a short time of mostly inept play?

 

I'll always be a Rockets fan no matter who is or isn't on the team.

Still being a fan of my favorite player that got traded away would depend on which team they were traded to.

I wouldn't want that player to have any success if they were wearing a Celtics, Lakers, or Warriors jersey.

I think I would be pretty upset if we traded Amen for even Giannis. I know I would appreciate the grind vs Gianni’s a couple years

Most these guys have a good chance of still being around when I have kids the next couple years. Would be really exciting for my kids to see the same players I saw drafted as a home grown team

 

My favourite active Rocket just changes. Depending on how long somebody was here and how well they played will affect how I view them as non-Rockets and whether I'll still be happy for them when they do have successes. My last 4 favourite active Rockets were/are: Tari (definitely could be traded,) Jalen (still a fan nominally because he's a Rocket, if he's not I won't miss him,) Harden (traded, still a fan) and Scola. If they trade every single player on the Roster tomorrow I'll still be a Rockets fan, I'll just have to buy a lot more jerseys because I try not to wear jerseys of active players on other teams. If they do that they better bring out a good City edition jersey or I'ma be ****ing pissed having some weak ass generic **** with some name of somebody I haven't even become a fan of yet lol.

This board rooted for Jason Terry, CP3, Russ, Austin Rivers, and others so whatever. Team over player always unless a ex-Jazz player, that's tougher call!

 

If my favorite Rockets player was traded, it would probably be like the 15th time that has happened.... and I'm not even sure who that would be on this current team.
