No, he never played like a top 5 player.

And I can draw a conclusion now that he will never be a top 5 player, feel free to quote me once he becomes a top 5.

    To all morons here,
Without Sengun you would have just seen playoff and #2 seed in your Dreams.
    Got it, "in your dreams".
Nba is business and Sengun maybe traded, Who knows.
But Rockets will be worse and Sengun will be better..
Jalen, low basketball iq, at best 7th man from bench Jalen and only defense but zero offense Amen will not make you playoff team.

Sengun will carry on being allstar and you will watch him scoring 25/10/10 from TV.

I'll say this time and time again.. in THIS era of basketball, building around your center as the best player is a major mistake unless he is a generational player. Think Jokic. Think Giannis. Think healthy Embiid.

Sengun is a good player, an all-star player but he does not have the shooting touch, god tier passing vision or interior dominance to be a generational center. He is also limited by his height. I think building around him is a mistake. I have no doubts Sengun will have a successful career but being the #1 on a championship team? I doubt it.

In fact, we have not drafted a generational type player yet.. which is the bigger issue. The closest person I see to that on our team is actually Amen but he has a major flaw in his game in that he cannot shoot which severely limits his offensive production. Even then Amen does not strike me as a #1.. he is more like a Pippen, if we had a Jordan type player like Ant or SGA, they would make a horrifying duo.

The most concerning thing about Alperen Sengun is that he has a drinking problem.

That really explains why Alperen really gets out of shape mid season. It is a sin to drink as a Muslim.

Why is Alperen Sengun being really drunk on flights.

Dumbest thread of the year award. Alpi is not going anywhere. His haters, mostly toxic Jalen green only fans, are stuck with him.

The audacity for JG only fans to still **** on Sengun after nail painter’s pathetic playoff performance is baffling.

Giannis cannot win you the championship in the West either lmao......you have to put the most pricey shooters around him and still it is hard to overcome the West.

IMHO Giannis' forte is his Defense and not his Offense, but Udoka already has a defensive system in place.

Trade JG to Mil so he can pair with his bum bro KPJ and be ‘freed’ from a Sengun centric offense.

Here’s my take….if we trade both Sengun and Green to get Gia, then we become the Milwaukee Bucks who got beat 4-1 in the fiest round of the playoffs in the lowly East. Be careful what you wish for.

that's the thing though, we're talking about a mid range jumper, not a 3 ball. He should have one by now.

Well, Giannis has won a ring before, we just need to figure out how to fit the right players with him, he would be a definite upgrade over Sengun. Don't worry about JG, he dissapears in playoffs, he's as good as a bag of potatoes.

If you’re going to mock a 23 yr old for underperforming in his first and only playoff appearance, perhaps you should learn to spell “disappears.”

You do realize that if Sengun is traded, then we will get something in return, right? Without knowing what we would get, how could you know if we would be better or worse? Obviously, you can't.

Green and Sengun's efficiency was basically the same in both the regular season and the playoffs. So, if Green is at best a 7th man, then what does that say about Sengun?

Also realize that zero offense Amen averaged 5 less points per game than Sengun on 5 fewer shots per game. Thompson was very efficient and Sengun was one of the 3 least efficient starting centers in the league this season. Amen's defense is way better than Sengun's offense and Amen's offense is better than Sengun's defense.

Will you still be a Rockets fan if Sengun gets traded? If not your opinion has no validity to a Rockets FAN forum.

Yeah, there's only 3 players in the entire league who take at least 4 midrange shots and shoot at least 50% on them. That's SGA, Booker and Durant. Durant is the best at 53.1%, Booker is at 51.7%and SGA is at 50%. I'll also point out that 50% on a 2 point shot equates to 33% from 3. Not terribly efficient.

Shooting them at a lower volume isn't going to change anything. So, unless you think that Sengun is going to be the best midrange shooter in the league, then its not going to be a factor.

I know the OP is a butthurt Jalen only fan and means he wants to trade Alpi now but his value will be the highest when he reaches his peak, which will not come for another 5-7 years. So by stating we should trade Alpi while his value is the highest, in reality he is saying we should keep him for at least the next 5-7 seasons.
