Combination of defense, rebounding, passing, and scoring ability. Not just a post up threat, but great face-up scoring ability. Only player on the team that can consistently generate high-quality shot opportunities from anywhere on the floor. That’s why he almost always gets the ball on critical last minute possessions.

I don’t think a single guy out of the young 7 has their value at their peak right now.

    Amen will be a superstar
    Alperen touch will return
Jalen just had the worst stretch of his career
Bari and Tari seemed to be hitting a groove at the end
Reed and Cam both didn’t get enough PT to boost value.

If the rockets can’t land Giannis they need to take a step back in the wins and move on from FVV and Brooks. Let the youngsters have full reign and see what they can do.

probably play in level but it would allow the team to get a real read instead of an offense being bogged down by FVV dribbling out the clock and Brooks eating minutes

Another dumb trade our best player thread from a Jalen only fan.
    Rinse and repeat

So the logic is that Sengun had one bad 4th quarter so throw him away but Jalen sucked the entire series so keep him? That makes sense lol

That midrange turnaround that Sengun shoots has been wildly inconsistent but I don’t see why he can’t develop it. He was shooting near 70% from the free throw line so his jumpshot obviously has good form and isn’t broken. We haven’t even seen him after he bulks up for a few more summers. His prime is a good 4-6 years away. He’s also proven he isn’t afraid of the big lights during the playoffs which is invaluable.

Sengun is only 22 and trading him would mean mortgaging our future. Sengun and Amen are completely untouchable. Hang up the phone if they even ask.

Oh you meant compared to other rockets, that's totally fair ya. I took it more as compared to the league.

Whut? He's going to get even stronger, improve his FT shooting, and develop a 3pt shot. Dude already has amazing court mapping, a high motor, and a deep bag of tricks. He can easily turn into a top 20 player.

I still don’t think there are many players in the league at his size and position who can do what he does on both ends.

Unless he can hit 3s he is just an above average NBA player, not special.

Ya i suppose that’s true, he’s kinda a really crappy jokic on offense and slightly better on defense (maybe?).

If he gets just a little better, and I still think he can do that (mainly by getting back to making shots like he used to), his value will be insanely high on that contract after next season.

I would trade him now if we're getting back Giannis in a reasonable trade (or some other surprise deal for a top 5ish player). Short of that you hold onto him for at least one more season. He'll be locked up for four years at an AAV well under $40M and even if he doesn't ever become a superstar, I think we can already confidently say that he can be a #2 offensive option type of guy on a contending team, who has already proven he's not a defensive liability.

Seriously, garbage posters like this need to at the minimum have their thread posting rights revoked.

    hahahaha.

You can't reason with downright stupid.

Ignoring blatant Jalen Only Losers on site is the best thing i've ever done on Clutchfans. Makes the experience so much more enjoyable, knowing you won't lose any brain cells dumbing yourself down to their garbage.

Green will also be on the trading block...if he hadn't tanked any value he had left in the playoffs.
