that would not get you Coby White. If the Bulls put him on the trade block there will be many suitors.
Sengun and Jalen #10, Phoenix 27 pick for Bam and Herro #20 and 2026 heat frp. trading unprotected picks 27 for 26 opens up other draft picks for transactions for both teams. Bam and Herro are better fits around Amen than Sengun and Jalen. We don’t have the #9, but I get your drift.
We would have been a play-in team this year in a normal year. The 2 seed in the West has averaged 58 wins over the last decade. Adebayo is a better player than Sengun and a better fit next to Amen. He is also still just 27 years old. Herro can shoot, Jalen cannot. If I could get away with just Sengun for Adebayo I’d do it, but I think the Heat want a total makeover. If all it would take is Sengun, you could turn around and trade Jalen, FVV, Dillon and picks for 1 or 2 more athletic outside shooters. Amen is our core and we should build around him which means shooters at every position and on the bench. Running it back is a recipe for mediocrity. This is the year we need to make a big move. Luka will play all year for the Lakers next year. SA will be in contention with Giannis more than likely. OKC still way better. Denver may win the championship again this year (was my prediction by the way).
Yeah man, we just take it from them and trade it. I mean what are they gonna do about? Fight us?? Nah. They're Canadian, they'll put up with it.
56 wins without bubble and 56 with bubble prorated to 82 games with a 67-win SA 10 years ago, bumping up the average. Recently, it has been about 53 wins on average not counting the bubble (last 7 years). No number 2 seed in the West has had more than 58 wins in the last 8 years, and the West is much stronger as a whole than it was 9 or 10 years ago (i.e., the West was top-heavy when the No. 2 seeds were racking up a lot of wins, but the conference didn't win as many games as it has the past 2 years). Considering the Rockets have improved during the season, I expect they are stronger than a 52-win team now. I'd guess a 54-win team if they go into next season without changes and all the young guys stop improving. I know you don't want to hear this, but I think Amen will improve and the Rockets will once again have home-court advantage easily in the first round of the playoffs. Maybe the Rockets aren't the No. 2 seed, but either through internal improvement or adding an offensive star, I think the offense will be much stronger next season making them a stronger playoff team. I think the Rockets showed their defense can keep them in playoff games, and they are dominant in the regular season.
I would trade Jalen, Reed, Cam, Nate Williams (filler), all of the Suns picks, the Mavs pick, and the Nets swap for Booker. That's an offer the Suns can't possibly refuse and it gives you a back court of Thompson and Booker with Fred off the bench plus a front court of Dillon, Bari, and Sengun with Tari and Landale off the bench. That's a perfect mix of vets with young horses.
I don't think we should be trading the farm for Devin Booker. He has had a mediocre season in Phoenix with Kevin Durant on the team. I really don't think he is that much of an upgrade over Jalen Green.
Jalen and #10 to Washington for the 2028 (or 2030) Phoenix swap rights and #6. we draft Kon and we acquire another pick asset. Jalen instantly becomes the Wiz most talented player, and they only move back 4 spots and give up a swap.
I’d love to steal Derrick White from the Celtics. With Tatum likely out all of next year and the Celtics possibly tanking for a high pick in a potential down year I would try to see if he can be had especially with the emergence of Pritchard. White is on a budget friendly contract and his game fits our needs like a glove.
https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/8853617 KD and Grayson Allen to Houston FVV, Jalen G, Tari to Phx plus a FRP This trade works for all teams - they get young players in Tari and Green, and they get FVV and we get an expiring KD and a 3pt wiz in Allen.... It balances out our team and makes theirs more athletic and formidable.....if we need to add more picks fine......and it clears up PT for Reed and Cam. DD
How about we just get better 3 point shooters and big emphasis this off-season is improve our free throw shooting??? I'm not big fan of Jalen, but it's encouraging how teams are blitzing, trapping, double him on screens that if we get better 3 point shooters it would make our opponents play more honest on defense. They can afford to trap, blitz, double Jalen when they know Dillon, Amen, Fred, and Sengun outside shooting is suspect. Make our 3 point shot and free throws then we wouldn't be having this conversation. However, you've made an interesting trade scenario: I would trade Jalen for Herro if getting Duncan Robinson is packaged in the deal. I prefer Sengun over Adebayo's contract...he's expected to make $60M in a couple years and that was a terrible extension by Riley.
I'd do Jalen+10+salary for Herro. I'd add Tari if needed. I'd trade for Beasley or Grimes. If Ime is ready to move on from FVV, then I'd look at Trae. The defense suffers but we are defensive team and can make up for it. I'd consider KD if not too expensive (it will probably be too expensive). I don't want Booker, he's never been a winner and isn't a best player on a championship team. Giannis is probably a pipe dream now that SA has the #2 pick. I would probably trade anybody but Amen and Sengun for a shot at Giannis. We'd trade for more shooters, of course, but we need to do that anyway.
I don’t know why I don’t want to hear it, but 54 wins ain’t that great in my book. Amen will improve substantially next year and should be part of the starting backcourt. Benching Jabari to keep FVV in the lineup is a death knell for this team. We have the assets to build a more balanced team that is capable of competing for a championship next year, but not by running it back and adding a couple of journeymen.
In your book, the No. 2 seed has averaged 58 wins the last 10 years which is obviously incorrect. In your book, the Rockets would not make the playoffs this season if FVV continued to start as late as early 2025. Jabari can't dribble well enough to play PG. I do think the Rockets need to make moves to improve this team. To me, Jalen Green either has to play well much more often or he's the obvious person to lose his starting spot to Amen. Brooks is next up to get replaced if the Rockets get someone better. FVV is a distant third considering the lack of guard play on the Rockets. On Brooks and FVV, even if the Rockets improve such that they are replaced in starting lineup, they are probably good off the bench.
Boston has some tough decisions to make with Jrue, Horford, KP, and White. If White is available, I wonder if Cam+Tari+expirings gets it done. Gives Boston some good, cost-controlled assets, and we get a true difference-maker at SG. There is also a world where Jrue retires (Teague mentioned Jrue was considering it before he signed this latest deal) and KP signs a long-term extension at a lower APV, giving Boston just enough room to breathe without tearing everything down.
