While we're rolling BKN picks into PHX picks, red-shirting one #3 pick, playing Dillon Brooks & Steven Adams over our other #3 pick, and waiting to see if Amen develops a jumper, the Spurs are ready to zoom by us just like the Thunder already did.

Patience is a virtue, but does it win championships? How much time will we spend looking for Mr. Right while our draft picks wither on the vine? We should be ready & willing to overpay for Giannis or Booker. And failing that, we should be kicking the tires on Trae, LaMelo, and Herro. Slow & steady will not win this race. It's time for a leap of faith.

Boston was extremely patient and won a title. Warriors were also so it definitely wins championships.

    #2 Jalen Green
    #3 Jabari Smith Jr
    #3 Reed Sheppard
    #4 Amen Thompson
    #10 ________ _________
    #16 Alperen Sengun
    #17 Tari Eason
    #20 Cam Whitmore

Already #2 in the West and took the Hall of Fame Warriors to 7 games in the playoffs, last team eliminated in the 1st round.

Rockets are moving fast and the league better try and keep up.

The Spurs are just sucking Silver off thats why they are relevant. Pop is an overrated coach who has had hall of fame talent. Throughout this rebuild they haven't done anything close to the Rockets while drafting high almost every draft.

What has Pop done with the draft picks the Spurs have gotten? With a generational talent like Wemby these dudes are still in the f*cking lottery.

Funny to say when Pop is Udoka's teacher.

Pop isn't even there anymore, he would not be there physically half the time.

He wasn't doing anything even when he was there. This injury bug he has been dealing with only occurred this season. They have had multiple top 12 picks that haven't translated into anything. Not to mention getting gifted Fox for almost nothing from Sacramento.

Pop's legacy is now building that alumni tree and the Pop network around the league.

Lots of teams have a Pop guy in their franchise.

The Championships are nice but not the last things to remember.

    Wemby
    Giannis
    Vassell or Shooter
    Dylan Harper or Stephon Castle
    De'aron Fox

Do we have any other option but to be patient and just hope guys grow into stars at this point?

We're not going to be bad enough to tank and we just have to roll with our guys more or less unless some star falls out of the sky and into our lap...which yeah, does happen from time to time, so I feel like we really have no choice but to just be patient and hope our guys pan out.

Good thing is...we at least have a lot of them and all are very young.

I do think Amen is the one there and I like Sengun for what he is.

I'm not at all out on Reed either.

The warriors and Celtics had lots of vet help. They had their three young core main players and a bunch of veteran players. We keep trying to force a 8 man deep young roster in our minds. We need the Jrue Holidays. The Iggy. Livingston. Horford, bogut etc AND we need at least 1 or 2 main young core players bc right now it’s only Alpy. Amen is a long ways away. Maybe 2 more years. Jaylen and Tatum had the luxury of coming up together and both started clicking in season 3. Alpy is ready, but no one else is. We really gonna see if Reed or Cam can be the 3rd guy in 3 years? Bari and green clearly ain’t it. I just feel like Boston and GS had a rare stroke of luck of having their core grow together at the same time and ours are years apart in their development

This is like winning that coin flip with Portland didn't matter at all.

Of course, it always takes a ton of luck to win without a top 2 player, and even then it's easy to mess it up.

They went all in and got KP and Holiday. They also have a 500 million dollar payroll which they will need to fix and Tatum probably has a pretty serious injury. You got to go all in. Patience in the new NBA probably isn't going to work unless you got a rich ass owner.

We need to go all out on Giannis. Adding a superstar to this team makes us instant title contenders in my opinion.

    Why are people so upset?

We weren’t getting the #1 pick, and to get it you have to dedicate yourself to tanking . No half measures.

the spurs did it for Duncan and wemby.

if you want to hit high lottery picks you have to commit..

That's simplistic. This version of the Rockets, specifically Ime's rotation, is maxed out and the entire league knows it - that's why everyone picked the Warriors against us.

And listing those picks makes my point for me. Two of those guys don't play and two come off the bench, and the guys we play over them aren't exactly all-stars. We don't need anymore picks and we certainly don't need whoever will be there at 10. What we actually need is a consolidation move or else those four guys are going to leave Ime Udoka's Bricklayers Union 713 with us getting nothing in return.

The picks only work if you play them or trade them. Benching Reed and Cam for the whole year plus giving Dillon and Steven more minutes than Bari and Tari doesn't make any sense.

We lost the series because Jalen Green didn't perform to 20% of his level not because the roster is maxed out. If Jalen Green averages 15 points we would have won in 5. People choose the Warriors because they have Steph who is a generational talent and more championship experience. This was obviously a trial year for our team.

We are still developing and our players are almost all sub 23 years old except Dillon and FVV. I agree with you thats why we need to go get Giannis right now. Stone needs to be calling the Bucks nonstop about it.

Dallas and SA are both division rivals and they got increasingly better......while the Rox pick fell to the worst place it could have.

Also Daryl Morey somehow won something.
