2025 NBA Draft Lottery Thread (Rockets get #10 Pick)

Flagg to Charlotte, confirmed.

 

I like him if the Rockets are in the middle of the lottery - but I would probably trade the #3 pick in the draft unless no one wanted to offer much.

Everyone wants Flagg and I get it - but I think that Harper has a chance to be a better offensive player.

 

I think if we get the 1-4 we keep the pick. Stone has not shown a willingness to take chances.

 

Honestly curious - why do people keep saying that he is destined for Utah? Is it because he is white..and Utah has earned a reputation as a racist place because of some of the fan incidents? Genuinely curious where this idea comes from.

 

I think Charlotte gets the #1 this year.

Anybody else watch Flagg in college and wonder if expectations of him being a generational NBA franchise player might be a bit inflated? I certainly did. Might be a lot of hype for what ends up being a solid rotational piece. Prove me wrong kid

I thought his offense wouldn't be good enough for the hype he got early in the season. I'm not sure when it happened exactly, as I find Duke boring, but he looked every bit the generational prospect (the typical best prospect in a six-year or so period) the last two to three months. I would not put him with Wemby or Lebron, but he's in the tier below them.

I will say this - if Amen and Cooper Flagg can get together in Houston - it's serious trouble for teams because both guys have that psychopathic Michael Jordan competitive gene. People used to say Jordan treated practice like Game 7 of a playoff series and as a result he never got tired in games. I would love to see two completely uber competitive players like that to get together to see what happens when those good players push each other to greatness similar to Scottie and Jordan.
