Tonight’s lottery will dictate a lot on what the Rockets do this summer. Specifically if they get a top 4 pick. There’s no reason why they couldn’t swing a trade for a Giannis, Booker, KD, or JA. 9th pick is a little more tricky but still valuable to some.

I fear Stone will be inclined to stand pat.

Although if the stars align and we get #1…….

    Dynasty for years to come.

If we get the number 1 pick do we draft Flagg or trade it for Giannis?

That's a badly worded tweet. The Sixers keep their pick if it winds up in the top 6. That tweet makes it sound like anything higher than 6th goes to OKC.

Rockets trade 9th Pick Rudy Gay for Shane Battier.

Rudy Gay was really solid, would've helped the Scoring Burden of Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming.

Shane Battier wasn't effective until he went to Miami Heat saving LeBron James.

If the Rockets get a top 4 pick, they should use it. They BETTER draft Flagg or Harper if they wind up in the top 2.

#1 overall pick you draft Flagg.

#2 overall pick you dangle but probably draft Harper.

#3 overall pick you draft VJ Edgecomb.

#4 overall you draft Kon Knueppel or trade back to #6 or 7 to then draft Kon Knueppel.

The NBA is shifting towards a home grown talent model so just keep drafting and developing kids. Knicks, Pacers and OKC are doing well because they took a chance on a high upside young guy (Brunson, SGA, Haliburton) that they got from another team. Nuggets, Warriors, Wolves, and Celtics are all homegrown stars (Jokic, Curry, Tatum and Edwards). That leaves Cleveland who tried to accelerate their timeline with Mitchell and has capped themselves because of it. They should've chilled out, let Mobley be their Sengun and see what they have in Garland (who could've been a Tyrese Maxey).

If we are to make a trade, trade for a high upside young guy. Not a geriatric has-been. No Durant. No Giannis. No Booker.

I love lottery conspiracies. Like everyone knew VW was going to San Antonio.

So let’s hear it: where is Flagg going?

Sending the generational white guy to Utah (who also happen to be the worst team)?
Spurs or Mavs gonna jump up?
Another gift to New Orleans? (AD, Zion)
