What I find curious is the timing of Mobley and Cade's "leaps". In year 4. Jalen also looks to have progressed this year. Not a leap but not insignificant either.

Not saying Jabari will make a year 4 leap for sure, but he might. None of Paolo, Chet or Jabari look like Edwards or Morant in year 3 for example.

Yeah, Chet lost his rookie season, looked promising in his second year, then hurt again.

Paolo has digressed after his injury in season 3.

Jabari's offense has been disappointing so far. But Mobley's offense was also meh in his first 3 seasons. So I'm not giving up hope for Jabari yet. He still has something that needs to be unlocked. We'll see.

I agree, Chet is only in his like 2nd season and he lost half of this season again.

You had 3 top big men but neither was advertised as an elite scorer.....Banchero was said to score in volumes but inefficiently.....

College elite shooter =/ NBA elite scorer

Chet was the only one that was said to be balanced in a lot of categories and on both ends but volume was questioned.

Chet was projected to be the best player among the three. His biggest concern was injury risk, and it seems to have come true right off the bat.

Paolo's biggest weaknesses coming out of college were shooting and defense. He seemed to have improved in the second season but now he's back to inefficiency again.

Jabari's concern was his handles and shot creation. That is also true so far.

I am curious how they are going to turn out in their 4th season.

To be fair that intro injury wasn't even a game injury, it could have happened to any big guy off the court or in practice...

I stand by the statement that coming in nobody was projected to be an elite scorer, Banchero was close but no cigar. Going thru all their strengths and weaknesses.

Guys like Ant and Jalen Green were primary scorers very early on.

It took Shai 1 or 2 years to get the recognition of a great scorer.

I dont think Jabari's offense is disappointing rather our team offense is the one that is disappointing. We dont run any plays for him and also he doesnt get the ball.

While I think Evan Mobley has turned into a really good, efficient player, that DPOY also made him expensive as hell.

His salary next year goes from 38M to 46M, and in 2029 he will be making 61M. LOL wtf! Thats Sengun and Jalen salary combined! He is a good player but also overpaid.

Crazy that we could have had both Mobley AND Sengun which would have given us the 2 best players in that year's draft....but instead we took a fringe top 10 player in that year's draft at #2. Embarrassing really.

The other takeaway is that Sengun is on an absolute steal of a contract. He's a max player who sacrificed for his team.

We could have also had Jordan and Hakeem on the same team which would be even crazier.

Rox got no 2 seed just 4 yrs after blowing it all up there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Mobley is making 46M he is overpaid I dont want him at that contract. Btw I am sure Cade is the best player in the 2021 class ahead of both Sengun and Mobley and everyone else.
