Peace is preferable to conflict. Neither side had anything to gain and too much to lose. Trump will become a pariah to the Indians who love him if he really did unilaterally force India into a cease fire however. Pakistan was on the verge of insolvency between its debt and it selling all its weapons to Ukraine.

Because the lines between the Pakistani state and the terrorist outfits/camps that were bombed by India is blurry. The line between actual terrorists and the Pakistani army is also blurry. They are interchangeable - they fight side by side. Islamist terror is seen as a vital tool for Pakistan to achieve its foreign policy goals. And India just destroyed some of its most important assets. Nothing makes this more clear than this video showing Pakistani army officers mourning side by side with designated terrorists.

There will be no further partitioning of the country to satisfy the intolerance of every Muslim that doesn’t understand the concept of coexistence and accommodation. Kashmiri Muslims are more than welcome to be a part of the Indian union, but if they want to be a part of a country created for Muslims only, they are free to move to the two already created for them : either Pakistan or Bangladesh (ok one was created for them; a genocide carried out by Pakistan and subsequent Indian intervention led to the formation of the second). In reality, we all know Kashmir Muslims don’t even have to go that far since the British assisted Pakistan in securing a portion of Kashmir (for their own foreign policy goals). In the meantime, woke people are going to do everything in their power to make the voices of the Kashmiri Hindu community heard. They will let the world know how Kashmiri Muslims ethnically cleansed all of the Hindus from the Kashmir valley in the 1990s. The woke will detail how the Hindus were driven out: via rape, murder, looting; via the most gruesome of killings - women were sawed in half; people were nailed to trees; via chants of “Raliv, Galiv, ya Chaliv” (convert, leave, or die) and demands for Hindu men to leave while leaving their women behind.
