Even with nuclear weapons on the table, there is no scenario where I can see Pakistan coming out better than India in a full blown conflict. India is richer and more populous than Pakistan. And besides Kashmir neither side has a meaningful war goal besides humiliating the other.
Maybe China can flex some diplpmacy muscles now that America is playing deadbeat dad who checked out for some smokes, If they go nucular, China would be the first downwind (then everyone else) Whoever smelt it, gotta dealt it?

It doesn’t matter who comes out “less affected” in a nuclear war. Give the people of Kashmir their own country ffs , this **** with two countries fighting for a group of people ethnically distinct is dumb. Neither side can convince me they are right in their claim.
Time for US leadership to help de-escalate before this goes out of control, like they did in the last major conflict between these two in 1999. Good luck!
We aren’t deescalating ****. If anything we will sell arms to both sides. I do hope and expect this to fizzle out before becoming a total war of survival but I also expect India (because of its current government) to get the final word in, militarily speaking.
