I think we just have to accept this team isn't a contender. It's hard watching Altuve. My favorite Astro ever and he earned the right to retire an Astro but he's completely fallen of a cliff. Team can't hit. Especially with whatever is wrong with Yordan's hand.
Thanks. I missed it, just saw he was thrown out. After work I’ve been installing cabinets so I’ve missed the last two games but obviously and unfortunately little has changed.
It's baseball, batters go through hot and cold periods. He won't bat .250 this season, he'll end up north of .285.
I don't know. His plate approach isn't necessarily conducive to him getting to north of .285. Hopefully I'm wrong
Man, that just sucked........................I guess this is who we are this year, a .500 ball club who makes STUPID decisions (bunting with a guy on third and one out, getting caught stealing etc) and can't score more than 3 runs in 20+ games and now for the obligatory meme
No Tucker, Bregman and Yordan. That’s not a winning formula. I don’t think this is a playoff team. MLB on Sirius was saying the Astros screwed up not signing Tucker long-term, a few years ago, when it wouldn’t have cost as much.
No. Right now this definitely is not a playoff team, and my hunch is that it's not going to be, but a lot can change if they get Yordan healthy and a couple other guys start pulling their weight. But as it stands now this is the least interesting Astros team in a long time.
Morey, Larry and Bobby, I love those goofy guys. If "baseball" people are still actually saying this they're just not informed.
We got within a run and he put Tayler back in... it didn't burn us this time but we weren't scoring again. Who was that lefty Dusty was in love with that kept blowing games? I can't think of his name rn maybe it's the pain meds.
What the hell is Espada doing? How hard is it: A 22 year old top 50 prospect with less than 1 year of pro experience MUST play everyday. That may be in the minors, but it must happen !!! Sitting him on the bench is most stupid lack of baseball I.Q. move ever and it happens way too often. Dana needs to fire him for this alone, regardless of the teams record, play, or his stupid managerial decisions. This guy needs to be managing in the Pioneer League.
If I'm Jim Crane, I go to Dana Brown and say, " I am giving you 2 choices, You fire the manager, or I fire the manager, AND general manager "
