[Shams] Gregg Popovich steps down and will remain as Team President

boy, he's really not moving too well. what a career though

 

Unfortunately, he really doesn't seem to be doing too well.

He lost his wife a few years ago and now is 76 years old.

I worry that he may not be around much longer.

Maybe not needing to travel as much and being President of the Organization will help him recover further - but my gut is that he isn't going to be able to do a lot more with the Spurs.

 

my guess is that the title is just that, more of an honorific than anything else. On the other hand, some stroke victims are 100 percent mentally there even though their bodies are feeble. If that's his case, then maybe he'll still do some good things for the organization. But that is tough to watch right there
