You just said it. As a PLAYER. You know, what they get paid to do.

Antman is a top 7 player in this league and backs down from nobody. Don’t disrespect him again by putting Jalen Greens name in the same post.

I am sad to report..we don’t have a bright future. At least not right now. Sengun doesn’t look like a first option. Jalen is a miss. Jabari is a miss. Amen is great but he is a role player to me. Without a star, you can’t win in this league.

No, Kerr got lucky with a hot hand. If Jalen goes off like Hield then it's a different game.

Kerr isn't a good coach outside of recognizing the nba doesn't care about rules for screens.

Kerr found a way to get Hield in the right spaces, and the vet delivered in game 7. That's a guard who's made 1000s of threes at a decent clip. You can look up and down our roster, and we don't have a player like that, but we needed one tonight.

Jalen with 8--a number inflated by garbage time makes. His defense is much improved, but I'm unsure what Stone should do with him. If you added a solid vet, he might take the starting job from him. Every guard GS put on the court was better than him (including the mall cop, Pat Spencer).

Sengun will get better. His conditioning this season was higher than in years 1 to 3. He'll likely find that FT line jumper after about 10,000 reps.

Eason and Jabari are so green. They'll improve.

I am too. I think people hating on udoka aren’t seeing the forest through the trees. Go back and watch the transition defense on those Silas teams. I’ve seen AAU teams play harder on defense.

doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his blind spots though.

one of my biggest criticisms is that he didn’t do a great job developing whitmore and reed and some others deeper on the bench. Say what you will but having either of them as a reliable role player or just to provide and offensive spark could have made a huge difference

Well. That was pretty much a laundry list of things that were unlikely to happen, that happened. They went zone and we didn't really respond either by hitting shots or changing the way we played. A role player had a night (and how, geezums). And we fell flat as ****. Jalen, Dillon, Tari just brick city. Super short rotation for some reason.

Curry ****ing owns us. Idk that we'll ever get to send him home for the season, this felt like as good of a shot as ever and we kinda choked it away. Just shot ourselves in the foot missing shots, turnovers early, let the Warriors dictate pace, didn't guard Buddy Hield and on and on. Starstruck?

    **** Ted Cruz.

He had Hield in Payton’s spot against the double-big zone. Replacing a non-shooter with a non-shooter made all the difference as Hield hit his open looks. Regardless, the Rockets’ defense was good enough to win tonight. The offense was nowhere close.

It would have helped if Jalen or FVV either didn't drive the paint at all or when they did, stop pulling up and look to pass.

Play for the basket, draw fouls. Make them foul you...

Jalen at best could be a team’s Bogdon Bogdanovic, but u can’t be paying 30 mil/yr for that

we gotta upgrade our entire backcourt

I haven’t forgotten how Fred was the worst player in this series the 1st 3 games

our backcourt is so inefficient, but we rely so much on them for offense…it’s a recipe for disaster

No, I would run different actions or plays than keep spamming someone who finishes less than 20% 1v1 against Draymond

Alpi taking 15+ shots = close loss
Alpi taking 20+ shots = guarantee loss

it takes shot attempts from your shooters - and if by some miracle he makes the shot, they come down and get a 3 and are +1

    Examples - Game 1 Game 3 Game 4 Game 6

the offense has been a problem all 3 of udoka’s seasons here and in boston because he’s utterly clueless on that end of the court

I would even give Cam some of those minutes. Looking at the defense... Hield was wide the F open anyway.

    Here it is.
    https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2025_preseason_odds.html

As you can see, we weren't expected to do much of anything this season, but we became a factor.

If we had been the 7th seed and had this SAME finish everyone would be proud of the team, the 2 seed was a fluke, we were 4 games better than the 8th seed, too many people are locked on that, their regular season raised expectations to an unrealistic level but this was always a team of 22-23 year olds still trying to figure things out.

I think most people are just mad because its to the Warriors again but honestly I don't care. If we become a contending team we're not going to be thinking about the Warriors anymore. It just stings now.
