I don't think it's a surprise that Jalen shrinks. He doesn't understand basketball at a higher level. When his athleticism and hot shooting stops working against a good defensive set, he literally doesn't know what to do with himself. He's passive because he doesn't have the confidence to read the defense and make decisions under pressure.

4 years and can’t shoot

 

Yeah guys, I’m extremely disappointed in how Jalen played this series. But I’m also a fan of the Rockets first and I sure as hell am willing to admit that I was wrong about him rising up to the occasion.

I had kind of a bad feeling when I saw we would get matched up against the Warriors, but in game two I had a lot of hope. And it sucks that it was dashed, unfortunately.

As long as he’s on the Rockets—and I suspect it’ll be for at least one more full season—I will root for him like my life depends on it, just like every other Rocket. But I know now, at least, what to expect. Sometimes, disappointment feels way worse than anger.

 

I think this season I saw him imitating FVV and passing it to Sengün at all times when he is undecided.....

Then Sengün has an off game or an off quarter, and he is toast.

 

Yea he needs to go. I am sorry; the 2nd overall pick can’t play like this
