It has to do with how you interpret the question. I did not read the question as Sengun for Giannis straight up. It read more as if we had to include sengun.
I might end up being wrong but I have always gotten those Shawn Bradley vibes from Wemby. Just too stick thin and fragile to have an impactful, long NBA career. Look, I don’t want the guy to have an injury prone and stunted career, even though he famously snubbed us during the draft announcements and he went to our division and state rival. But in terms of limiting the competition, if I’m right, Wemby being a diminished factor can only be good for us.
I've always felt the same way, but I thought it would be foot issues. Instead now it's also blood clots... scary
After wat hing Ironically, the blood clots are keeping him off of his legs and probably extending his the length of his career. I can see the guy getting contracts through his late 30s from teams taking chances on him. Perception bias is real.
Its an opinion you can have your opinion to trade Sengun for Giannis and I can have my opinion I rather have the 23 yr old over the 30 yr old. Not sure why you think you are getting attacked the other poster said people arent seeing the long term potential of Sengun and you proved him right saying trading him for Giannis is a no brainer.
If I’m the Rockets and Milwaukee wants Sengun and some firsts for Giannis, you take that and run with it Sengun is a very good player, a nice complimentary piece. He brings a lot. But I just don’t see him as much more that given his offensive inefficiency. His shot form is so unnatural, his touch from outside poor and around the rim mediocre at best, I will be very surprised if it gets to an elite level. I hope I’m wrong. Prove me wrong Sengun.
Hardly a “bashing”’post. Saying he’s not a superstar but a very good player is not “bashing”. I really wish he was a superstar, I wish I saw a path to that. I’ve followed him just as I did Turkoglu, Okur, etc and rooted for each and every one of them to become a star. Eventually reality settles in. He’s 4 years in and his shooting is not one iota better. Wouldn’t you think with coaching you’d see some improvement if he had it in him?
His shooting has been worse year after year for like 3 years. Using Sengun as a franchise player or an iso solution never works. Rockets should trade some assets to get a super star and let Sengun be a 2nd or 3rd option on the team. His passing ability and bball iq will be maximized in this way.
We need to hire a better offensive coach to use both Alpi and JG correctly - Adleman or Triangle … hell anything other than PnR screen screen stand around 3pt line
Will finish his 1st playoff appearance with 21 pts on 19.5 FGAs, 12 rebounds and 5.8 assists, 2 steals On par with some of the best in their playoff debuts. It's not easy, consistent efficiency. Pau Gasol 24yrs old, 21pts on 20fgs, 7 rebounds 1 block and got swept twice. Sengun to keep grinding and get back to his previous non outlier year of 55% from 2s. Awesome defense in the series.
I expected much better game from him. His finishing may be the worst game through the series. He will take this one as a learning exp though.
Sengun fans are taking the L on this one. This isn’t what a franchise player looks like. In this series, he was just a box score totals guy. If it wasn’t within five feet, he couldn’t buy a basket. If a star’s on the table, it’s time to move.
Outside of LeBron James , I say he did ok as a young big man in his first playoff series. It's not like he was paired with studs and couldn't contribute. He played great defense and was forced by the defense to take more shots than he wanted to. Over the course of the series he got worn down. I bet he works on his body over the summer and comes back even better.
It was surely not his best game but he try to take responsibility. There was only Amen on the Court who try to cut and run to get free position. I dont know why the players was so rigid. It was too much pressure for the young team.
