Considering we just won G6 in the Bay on a 2nd elimination game, not so worried about nerves.

There’s some court vision there. He grasps the concept of making the right play he’s still just sloppy with his ball handling more than what’s acceptable. That first quarter in game 4 was just cringe.

As an aside, Jalen was a huge reason we were the 2nd seed in the west. He’s also still a ****ing mystery. A consistently dominant Jalen Green has us competing with the Thunder in the mid 60s win range. That’s how good he is at his best. But that’s essentially adding Anthony Edwards to this team.

Depending on the rest of these playoffs, the question going forward is do you give up the high end potential of Green for someone who isn’t quite as good but more consistently good enough. I think you don’t. Not at the price it would cost. Amen Thompson is ultimately a top 5-10 player in this league and with internal growth, I think you can gamble with Green and either way have a roster that’s championship level competitive.

Steph Curry, who played maybe the best game 7 ever (50 pts against SAC on the road) and was part of the greatest game 7 ever (cavs-warriors), talked in his postgame interview about being nervous before and during game 7s.

    It's normal. Nervousness =/= cowardice.

I'm not saying it won't exist, just not worried about it considering how they've played these last 2 games being in the same position. The Warriors had a 3-1 lead and Rockets regained HCA, the majority of pressure is now on the Warriors is all, young guys on our team or not.

G7 nerves will be there, but I think the BIG EYES BRIGHT LIGHTS concern for our inexperienced players has dimmed as an issue.

If I'm wrong that's fine, just how I see it.

Yes, exactly this. Like I couldn't believe what I was watching, especially after dealing with that 2005 series where the Rockets were robbed from beating Dallas, I was happy to see them get beat as the number 1 seed.

I don’t think so. That said, Curry should have fouled out last night. The fact they gave Butler a foul on Adams at mid court when Curry fouled VanVleet on a drive early in the fourth quarter so Curry wouldn’t have his fifth foul was a joke. That’s the “rigged” stuff people talk about with the NBA.

Steven Adam’s post game interview is a master class on strategy and what’s happening to Jalen Green

curry also had a rebound where he pushed amen thompson square in the back when amen had position. It was a blatant foul that craig and ryan didnt even mention. It was blatant and bad and right in front of the refs. They were not gong to put curry on 5 fouls.

I remember that one. It was to prevent him from getting to a rebound. Desperate tactics.

This is what I mean, we really have no reason to make desperate trades.

We're not in our championship window yet so we can be patient. Like I said in another thread, if Philly wanted to rebuild and wanted Suns pick/Jalen/Reed or something for Maxey. I'd do it. Maxey is still young and already an all-star and far more consistent than Jalen. I'd do that...

But I'm not trading Jalen for a journeyman all-star...yall know the types, Derozan types. Good players, consistent, but in the end, Jalen's ceiling is still high enough that I'd rather just hold the bag with him.

Agreed. There’s absolutely no reason to not be patient with this roster.

It’s a lot handle for Ime to handle Jabari during the course of 1 game. Yesterday we saw the best of Jabari and the worse.

Baffling response. Also poor attempt at being creative with an insult. But considering you never post anything of value it’s right on brand. You are worthless

Whether it’s us or someone else, the team that can find a way to get consistency out of Jalen will benefit tremendously. When he’s ON, he pulls oversized attention from the defense, which opens things up. Hell, even when he’s OFF, teams give him more attention than the others because they don’t want him to START going off. You just have to get him to the point where he rarely hurts the team.

I think hes kind of gotten there as a player where he doesnt "hurt" the team.

Right now hes playing good defense, rotating great and hustling for boards with solid effort on that side of the ball.

Hes hurting us "offensively" though when hes tasked to create. Hes more of a benefit right now as the decoy drawing 2 men and the attention that he truthfully doesnt deserve right now.

Obviously the fear is Jalen going nuclear and thats why Jalen is receiving the defense he has been. And he cannot figure it out and is obciously struggling.

But he isnt hurting the team, because in spite of that hes pouring more effort into the other things.

I admit he is inconsistent, but we need his spacing.

Does anyone have a replay or highlights of the game with the Warriors broadcast? Want to hear the life sucked out of them.

“It’s impossible for this team to win if the refs aren’t calling these obvious dirty fouls on the Rockets!”

You must be a masochist... listening to GSW's broadcast regardless of outcome is like fingernails on chalkboard
