I mean they've already beaten us at home once, so nothing is a given in my book. But sure, I think we'd be favored at least if we win tonight. That said I wouldn't even be thinking about game 7 yet. One game at a time baby.
Wishful thinking. It's definitely not a given. Game 7s are weird and unpredictable. The only thing I would predict about a game 7 is it would be close.
Absolutely agree. If we survive this one, we’ll harness the momentum to win it at home in 7. But if Warriors are destined to take the series, let it happen tonight. The pressure is on the Warriors, and I hope we are able to stay close and make a little run in the 4th quarter.
If the basketball gods could repay the rockets from the 2018 Western Conference Finals fiasco Everyone here would be like this....
I watched that game at a BWW in Eugene, OR, and met another CFer who became a close friend. We outscored the Clips 40-15 in the 4th in an elimination game on their home court. Would've been 40-12 without CP3's meaningless 3-pointer at the buzzer. So damn satisfying. Brew and Smoove were unconscious.
The only player in the playoffs not named Marvin Bagley III to average over 8 points on 5 FGA per game or less is : Jabari Smith. That's it. One.
I mean that's not how game 6's work, that's how game 7 works though... I will say, I do think we'll have a lot of momentum for game 7 fi we win, if the Warriors were ANY other team I'd agree...but they are champions, that means when their backs are against the wall they will not fold and crumble, they will fight and put out their best. If we were instead playing the Grizzlies and were down 3-1 I'd agree, but no, we're going to have to beat these guys. We're not going to luck into victories against them. You have to expect we'll get their absolute best tonight and if we still win we will again get their absolute best.
