I would definitely trade Sengun for Giannis if it were a straight swap, but that will never happen, so it’s just a dream. Other options aren’t realistic/logical either. Here’s why: 1. Giannis wouldn’t join us if we traded Sengun in a massive package. He’d want to play with other stars, so there’s no incentive for him to come here. He wouldn't want to play for a team exiting every single first round of playoffs. 2. Acquiring Giannis would likely cost not only Sengun but also Amen. We’d end up as a worse version of Milwaukee. What’s the point then?
The Rockets would not make an offer that switches the Rockets for the Bucks. It would likely be picks with Sengun. Maybe Green or Cam. Odds are the Rockets would be the best team that Giannis could go to unless OKC offered up Chet or JW among teams that can offer Milwaukee a lot. While I think OKC would throw down for Jokic, I don't know if they would for Giannis as Giannis makes a lot and there is a big gap between Jokic and Giannis.
They lost 4-1 a lot of the games weren't close I dunno how that's single handedly beating the Pacers... and the pacers aren't even good.... the rockets could have beat the pacers.
I believe OKC has no reason to pursue Jokic when Giannis is a better fit. Jokic's defensive limitations don't align with OKC's team structure or culture. I still think that unless we include both Amen and Sengun, along with a significant number of picks, the deal won't happen. Giannis has no reason to choose us if we lack star players to pair with him, and as we know, he will have considerable leverage in deciding which team he’s traded to.
Do you think Amen can play next to Giannis? Also, Giannis has said he doesn't like playing center. He wants a big guy next to him to guard centers and protect the paint. Do you think he would come here if we told him he had to play center?
Does Giannis have leverage or not? If Giannis has as much leverage as you suggest, Amen won't be needed. If the Bucks are taking the best offer, only one team realistically can beat Sengun and 4 FRPs, and they probably won't. I'm guessing the Rockets are the best team, making a firm offer, with OKC being an outside chance. I doubt they offer Chet or JW. I doubt Giannis will pick the Nets or Utah over Houston. This assumes the Bucks decide to trade Giannis. I think the Rockets would fit what the Bucks want versus what I think other teams can offer, and I think Giannis will want the Rockets over the Nets or Utah.
Wrong! We don't have to include Amen. I've seen where the Spurs are suggesting Stephon Castle, this yrs draft picks and fillers. Now if the Buck's Organization accept it, is another thing. However, I think Sengun, Cam and 2025 #1 is sufficient.
BAM! Guess who is one of the favorites to land Giannas https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...DKAB6BAgWEAE&usg=AOvVaw16HdgV-_RozcUl9-hxcVjx
Jalen, Cam, Tari, Phoenix's 3 picks for Giannis. I think that provides the potential and picks that teams seek when trading a superstar. Either that or have Nico Harrison as the GM and rob that team blindly.
Instant Gratification society and even then nothing is guaranteed Giannis and FVV . . . .. is that the championship contending combo we looking for? Rocket River
If it's with Jabari, I think he would. It would be a shared role. Also, by resigning Adams, Giannas would only play center against smaller players. Remember Anthony Davis said the same thing.
Conceptually, I would do this. We’d have to lock-up Bari, though. I’d also imagine we’d let FVV walk. Amen / Brooks / Bari / Giannis / Sengun Spacing would be rough if Amen and/or Sengun don’t improve their 3 ball, but still a really interesting team.
No way that's enough for a top 3 player in the world. Bucks GM must be as dumb as Nico Harrison to make that happen...it's impossible.
Giannis is reportedly going to demand a trade after getting bounced in the first round, that's why the thread was made. It's not because anyone thinks Milwaukee is going to randomly pull a Nico Harrison and decide they don't want Giannis. I am sure they want to keep him, but if he demands to be traded, then you have to start looking at potential destinations and trade packages.
If you want Giannis, then you're moving both Sengun and Amen to get him, not only because that's what the Bucks will want at a minimum, but also because Amen would be a poor fit with Giannis. You need to surround Giannis with shooters.
I agree 100% That's why (as I've already said) I wouldn't trade for Giannis, but if they would do Sengun for him with not much else then see you later Alpi, have a great career lol.
Giannis is owed $57M next year and we have some contracts/draft picks that can appease the Bucks: Jalen Green $33M Jabari Smith $12M Reed Sheppard $10M Amen Thompson $9M Tari Eason $6M Cam Whitmore $3M I left Sengun off because these days it's very hard to find a skilled big man and he's showing up in the playoffs so I'll deem him as untouchable...I doubt the Bucks would want FVV (though his contract is expiring) or Dillon Brooks because they have plenty of veteran wings. Amen Thompson would probably have to be included in a trade to get Giannis, and I'm okay of letting him go because they both play similar styles of basketball, but Giannis is more dominant...I wouldn't trade all of those players listed, but it would be some combination of them to get Giannis. Thoughts?
