    .

Americans continue to grow uneasy about the economy as President Donald Trump wages an erratic trade war that could send US inflation rising and even trigger a recession.

Consumer confidence sank 7.9 points in April to a reading of 86, the Conference Board said in its latest survey released Tuesday.
That’s the lowest level since May 2020 and a larger decline than economists had projected. The survey’s Expectations Index, which captures
people’s outlook on the economy, plummeted 12.5 points this month to 54.4, the lowest level in 13 years.

100 days in - I'm not seeing much of a difference. Same silly outrage. No real change either way. All rhetoric. No action.

The President, and more importantly the United States, just doesn't have the same pull it used to have.

Then my guess would be you are not only not looking, you're actively turning a blind eye.

Yeah its not we've defunded the NIH/CDC and halted over 100s of active scientific trials. Weve halted tons of clinical trials bcz the FDA has been gutted and we don't have the regulators to oversee the trials. We've canceled cancer research and other vital research. We've cut scientific research grants to universities which has had to end research. Weve driven this country back decades for literally no reason.

You cultists are such an embarrassment.

Seems like the scientists could just do the clinical trials without government oversight. Are their results less valid if an FDA flunky isn't there? How did science happen for thousands of years without bureaucratic meddling?

You should have read the second half, which really nails home that the bolded part is correct.

You have some serious Liberal Derangement Syndrome if you look at the first 100 days and think liberals are the problem.

And im pretty sure you are either a retired old fart or work somewhere insulated from the business community. To say that the president has no power to destroy and alter our economy and daily lives is insane given what we are currently seeing in our world of actually trying to do global business.

Given what is happening on a daily basis right now this is one of the most deranged statements anyone has made on the forum in along time and that’s saying a lot.

I recommend touching grass and maybe taking a quick break from your LDS for 2 seconds to sniff some reality.

Sadly, I did read the second half, which really nailed your ignorance.

Big Pharma would love nothing better than to do a "trust us, bro" clinical trial. What could go wrong? Big Pharma would make big $$$ on their new drug .. and ... you were going to die anyway.

You have reading comprehension issues, for whatever reason. Too much childhood trauma, or you're an Adderall addict or a chronic mar1juana user.

Anyways, I didn't mention a thing about liberals. Sure, if you have some weird attachment to illegal immigrants and believe open borders are the solution, consequences be damned, I am sure your life is completely turned upside down. For the other 90% of us who is more concerned about our problems, life goes on.
America clearly voted on economic concerns over everything else. Yes, its been a very volatile 100 days of Trump boasting nonsense, however that appears to be coming to an end. China tariffs are the only real thing hanging over our heads.

I know you're hoping for something catastrophic so you can say 'i told you so'. SP500 is still up 10% from 1 year ago. The sky is not falling.

Back to your reading comprehension issues; What I stated is the United States and POTUS does not have the same power/strength as we did 20-30 years ago. No where in that sentence does it state the United States and the POTUS is unable to great a global melt down. In your anxiety ridden life, all you can see is negativity and think negative. My comment was not a reflection of your weird liberal fantasy of Trump starting WWIII. There are no easy fixes anymore. If we want stronger growth in America, lazy ass Americans need to get off their asses and be more productive .... instead of paying people to door dash shitty unhealthy stale disgusting food (imagine being so lazy you would rather eat **** than go into the kitchen and put together a basic salad) or order Chinese trash off Amazon. Money is going to be harder to come by and preserve.
