He knows he doesn’t have it from 3 and isn’t jacking a bunch of them but I wouldn’t mind seeing him miss 10+ middies and at least getting 20ish attempts

Hell if Alpi can miss 16 shots … don’t be gunshy …

The 8 shots is more of a mental thing.

Basically, no elite SG is going to settle for 10 point games 3 out of 4 games. At some point he has to try to put a stamp on the game and he didn't do that tonight.

Steph its the opposite, he's played well for most of the series and had an off night. With Jalen it looks like he had a fluke night.

If he can't score he should be looking to set up teammates, instead he was getting ripped. If he can't score he should be getting stops, instead he was getting blown by. He has to impact the game in some way, the 8 shots is more to me just proof that he's being way too passive. He let Buddy Hield steal it from him twice. Twice.

He needs to be putting pressure on their defense at the very least.

Considering it just happened. . . you shouldn't be shocked.

Heartbreaking loss. Alperen may hit the last one if he can get 1 m more inside. Both Brooks and Tari made mistakes on giving free FTs. Great experience though.

FVV and Green are both gone in the off-season, that much is for sure.

Personally I'm hoping we can steal Giddey from Chicago and then trade Green + picks for Booker, Brooks can go as well as salary filler.

Jabari deserves to start, he's the only one right now on the team with a hope of a good jumpshot. Amen has to work on his jumper this entire off-season, no excuses. We need to surround Sengun with 4 shooters, not whatever the **** we're doing right now.

That Curry 3 with only two seconds left on the clock was a killer.

I think he just needs to attack more, they will shade him and send traps, he just needs to be prepared for it. He was just bad tonight with that, losing the ball and not putting much pressure on their defense.

Hopefully going back home will get a better game out of him and yeah, Amen shouldn't start this series, despite Amen playing better it makes it harder for everyone else, but still if they are going to give him this attention he has to justify it a bit. Makes it harder for them to rotate when he does pass it at least or might force them into mistakes.

That’s exactly the sh1te that gets you the hook from Ime. He doesn’t yank guys for missing shots, he yanks them for making stupid plays. That’s why the vets don’t get plonked on the bench as much, because they play smarter (usually — looking at YOU, Dillon).

Jalen has to learn how to hang onto the ball even when he’s pressured. And he’s got to go to a sports shrink and learn to get out of his own damn head.

Giddey is a poor defender. He's a good player but we need more of an upgrade. Booker, Herro or Desmond Bane are the players that would elevate our roster. Not sure if any of them will come available though.

Nah totally disagree here. Steph had 20 points on 15 shots one game too. It's completely normal for Green or any big scorer to have 8 shots in 24 minutes on a night he can't avoid turning it over and having the ball forced out of their hands. That's normal for stars even. He played the start of each half basically and he rarely takes a lot of shots in those minutes.

When the other team is doing everything in its power to have you not take shots, a smart player will not force shots and will find the open man. If you're trying to find the open man and you turn it over 5 times in 24 minutes, you're done.

Good that the damage on the team was limited. It would have been all contested jumpers on which he shoots 33% or so. I don't know why people think someone can develop a skill just because we want it tonight, he's just a low % shooter on contested jumpers and they were extra contested tonight. The drives are completely out of the question with the spacing of the starting lineup.

He should have just making quick simple passes out of the double teams and waiting for the right time to attack. He forced the issue and Chuck is saying he should have forced it more. No thanks. We don't need Jalen Green doing that. The right thing would have been more assists rather than more shots in the beginning of each half. That's how you get them to stop doubling you hard.

I watched the play over and over again. Brooks definitely only made contact with him when he was airborne. Was it a soft foul? Yes. But my point is why even do it? Why is your off hand out in the first place? Because he's stupid is why. It's your body freaking control it. Don't just randomly touch a dude taking a jumpshot. It provides you absolutely nothing and risks a foul why even do it??

As currently constructed, we are a high floor low ceiling young team. "Core" pieces need to be moved this offseason. Stone is on the clock.

Actually I've watched over a dozen Bulls games this year and he is definitely much improved on that end of the court. In fact, he's the same level of defender as Jalen Green, they both have the exact same defensive rating this season. Giddey isn't gonna be a good defender or elite but he's serviceable much like Jalen, also since he's much taller, he has done a good job contesting a lot of shots.

I appreciate your never-ending optimism on the Rockets outlook.. but today didn't prove that Alpi is the most consistent guy.

The past 4 years have proved that. It's only now more people are coming to terms with the fraud that Jalen Green is.

Stone won’t do anything. He sucks and is the only one to blame. We all knew we’d lose in the first round with this offensive challenged poor free throw shooting team. No surprise as I said this at the trade deadline and got banned from posting on this site for saying it. Kool Aid fans are finally seeing I was right as usual. An apology is iwed to me by all the doubters on this site. Truth hurts!!!

It is impossible to overstate the importance of FT in a game. 2 of our starters hit 50% or less, another shot 60% (3/5) and we blinked at hack-a-Adams who was 1/2. Kerr made Ime blink first when he had a DISTINCT advantage.
