Mancini started off hot and then went cold and lost his job as a utility guy. He never replaced Gurriel at 1B, like he was acquired to do. Barely played in the playoffs too. Vazquez played sporadically. He was supposed to start over Maldy. Neither of them were given the opportunity that Abreu and Walker have been given.
