Must win game. The Rockets blew the easier of the two(assuming Butler is back tomorrow). If they go down 3-1, the series is over. They may bring it back to San Fran, but they ain't winning 3 straight against Golden State.

    • Need to be judicious on trapping Curry
    • If trapping trap hard
    • Watch for Payton slip
    • No need to trap curry all the time. One player can’t beat your whole team. They won game 3 because of a team effort not just curry
    • Throw multiple looks on defense including zone. If trapping on wings load up strong side
    • Less fred with ball more jalen and amen
    • Start bari - get him to his spots. They can’t stop him
    • Sengun needs to watch the delayed double and look to pass out not just try to score as he usually does
    • Cut cut cut baseline wings and middle
    • Keep attacking them in the paint and look for weak side corner or wing

Getting away from the emotion of the last game, the Rockets know they can hold the Warriors relatively in check even when Curry goes off. The great challenge is finding answers on offense. This as much a coaching as player challenge.

Udoka isn't starting Jabari over Amen. Man is still stubborn and always thinks defense only.

Warriors aren’t that good. Rockets are playing too scared of Curry. Clippers beat them late in reg season with almost no trapping. Den did the same in MAR. These teams played man and switched on Curry. I believe you should trap Curry at times but not all the time. You want to make it less predictable and throw a wrench in their offense from time to time with the traps and blitzes. Make the other guys play offense and beat you. Payton shouldn’t get wide open cuts, slips and threes. Same with Heild. Make those bums actually work for a basket.

We have to win 3 of the next 4 to put this curse to rest, once and for all.

Seems that Curry thrives on hitting those circus shots with the defender right on top of him. I wonder what his stats are on wide-open and lightly contested 3s?

If you cannot ride the wave of a win in game 2, then surely you cannot do it after a game you lost. Hoping they prove me wrong like from game 1 to 2, but that was at home. I expect us to trot out an even worse offense and lose big: 112-87

nah have some faith dude. again warriors aren't that good. cut off the other players. stay disciplined in defensive assignments. trap sparingly. attack the paint looking to make plays. keep cutting from all directions. we will win.

He is better with catch and shoot shots and not as good with pull ups. This is why I don't like the idea of trapping or blitzing him on every possession,

He scores from split action, flares, or illegal down screens and not so much dribble pull up although he can do that. I think you throw in a trap or two at times at unexpected moments.

He is very good on wide open shots and most of his shots are not guarded tightly (4-6ft). Interestingly he shoots a human 35% with defender 2-4 feet.

This is why I think it's important the Rockets continue to do a work on switching and being disciplined with him on split actions and flares etc. rather than trap. Sengun had some issues in that second half when Curry turned the corner on him on switches. He has to work on this. But also play Jabari more as well. but key here is he is going to get his. let's stop the other Warrior bums from scoring easy buckets and to do this you can't trap as much.
