ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Warriors 4/26/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 3)

I predicted when the playoff pressure hit, Ime would fall back on his FVV/Sengun walk it up offense. What happened to playing FVV off the ball? His rotations have sucked all year, so why expect that to change. At least during the regular season, he gave Jabari more minutes, let Holiday spell FVV every once in a while. Maybe I’m delusional, but it sure seems like every time someone gets on a hot streak, Ime decides it’s time to give him a rest.

 

We need a real shooter, or even multiple real shooters.

 

Why did Udoka take Amen off Curry? I am still confused.

 

Time to go all in on Luka. Include every PHX pick, swap, and no players off the table.

 

If we don't expand our rotation this team is done.

felt like we controlled the game and the wheels came off the wagon in the 2nd half. Backcourt let us down again. They got away from Sengun. Dillon played selfish. Amen wasn’t getting to the rim…at all. Bari and Tari were the bright spots. What happened in the 2nd half? That first half was all heart; I was so proud despite the let down at the end of the half. 2nd half was dog sh#t.

I was at a bar full of Warriors fans. You don’t know the pain.

 

You all do realize that this team overachieved, wasn't expected to be a #2 seed and probably shouldn't have been, and that this is only phase 3 or so of the long term identity?

We are not expected to win this series but use it as a learning curve for the future. This team is too young, too dumb to understand how to win in all or nothing games, especially against an organization that's used to this. It's okay to be frustrated (even I get caught up when the Rockets do well) but know there's no urgency to win at all cost. We are two years away from making a serious dent in the league. Think of the 2015 Astros and you'll understand.

 

Yeah, I guess but no matter how you chalk it up it’s embarrassing af to be the 2 seed and not be favored in a series vs the 7 (unless you win it). Yes I know it’s the warriors and yes I know it’s only like 4 games difference.

 

He's weak, trying do justify this pussified performance. You don't get to be the 2nd seed in the west by chance/luck. Thats pure nonsense. We gotta win this series (which we will), everything else is a bust.

 

Senguns dumbass really bricked 2 free throws with the Rockets down 3 and 5 minutes left in the game. He choked like a dog.

Actually, the wheels started falling off at the end of each quarter. This team can push the pace, but then for whatever reason they let their opponents back in it with 2 minutes left to play. Most likely it's just youth and inexperience that causes this mental letdown which will improve with time. But not in these playoffs.

Rockets can win more games but will need a 15+ point lead in the 2nd half to do it. They are not ready for close games down the stretch.

yup this warriors team sucks. Especially without butler. They were looking to be a lottery team. This is an absolute embarrassment

Still holding out a little bit of hope. Among other reasons there have been plenty of NBA series where a team looked dead in the water and flipped the switch. We are talented enough and good enough defensively to beat them at full strength, but actually getting it done is another story.

 

He didn’t get any lift, you could see he was not in it. He was really in his head.

 

I still can't believe how shitty Jalen was last night. Only 4 points from the start of the 2nd Quarter through end of the game. Zero chance to beat anybody with that performance. How can anyone be that terribly inconsistent?
