He was getting locked on, he played "smart" didnt force the issue and ended up with 5 ast to 1 to. Maybe if Ime played Jabari instead of cant shoot Amen the lane would've been open and he could have done more.
Rockets are paying Jalen only 33M aka an elite role player. In the org's eyes Jalen isnt their hope and dreams because the money or contract makes that clear. Amen is their golden child too bad he has been trash all series and needs to get benched.
Steph Curry was locked on even harder than Jalen. Look at what he did. Jalen being locked on like that is literally what is be expected and a surprise to nobody. So you are saying if a team wants to take out Jalen then they can do so on a whim? That sure doesn't happen to players like Steph.
I disagree. I have never seen a player who has been hand held along more than Jalen. Sengun didn't get the Jalen treatment or anything close to it. Amen who you call their Golden child just got to start AFTER an injury and has been only half a season.
Steph is a superstar making the supermax Jalen is a 33M player. We are hoping he can be more but at the end of the day he shouldnt be expected to do more than that.
How is Jalen hand held when he gets **** on and blamed for every loss? Even now people like you blame him over FVV and Amen who unarguably played worse and even Ime who was the no 1 cause for not playing Adams, Tari and Jabari more? Amen has been bad since game 1 of the series why is he still starting over Jabari and Tari who have consistently played better than him? Jalen had a bad game 1 but he had a good game 2, Amen has been bad every game. Rockets are down 2-1 and the only 1 is due to Jalen. Theres like 14 other players instead of focusing on them to do their part all y'all can think of is blaming Jalen.
Here is the truth if every player was inconsistent like Jalen we would sweep the Warriors. Every game half the team would play like a top 5 player and they would dominate the opponent even if the other half played bad. Problem we dont have inconsistent players like Jalen, we just have consistently bad players like Amen and FVV. We also have consistently good players like Adams, Tari and Jabari but they dont get played much. Instead of focusing on Jalen and asking him to be consistent, we should focus on Amen and FVV asking them why they suck every game. And also asking Ime why he doesnt play the other guys who are consistently good.
Idk everyone played bad, They adjusted to Jalen’s game 2 and threw doubles at him and basically did what we did to Curry game 2. We lost more so of the adjustments and the fact that Amen and Sengun were bricking everything. Also nobody took care of the ball
He isn't a number one option, he just isn't, dont even think hes a number 2 on a real contender. He doesn't have the skill level and even the slightest bit of defensive focus will completely shut him down. This team doesn't have a dude and will need to find one soon. Hopefully getting clowned by a donkey will have him aggressive and doing stuff next game, but I don't think he has it in him.
Yeah I don’t think Jalen was the problem game 3. He was constantly being doubled. Learning moment for him on how to find the open man. I think Ime will help him adjust with some good film sessions. This one’s on all those missed free throws. Sengun, Amen and those oddly timed ref calls
Amen is year 2 in the NBA while Jalen is year 4. Big difference. Sure they're the same age but Jalen has been exposed to the NBA and been a professional for longer. FVV, for sure we should be asking since he's the seasoned vet. Amen, we need to figure out a better way to put him into the gameplay or have him play less minutes in favor of Cam/Jeff for rest. Jalen.... he himself needs to figure it out. We'll see how he responds on Monday. He's gotta scheme himself back in. I think he'll actually respond though. And Jalen got all offended. It's definitely a sensitive spot for him since he got all outraged like that. But like the hood says, dudes with painted nails might be the scariest out there because they aren't afraid of the pen. In fact they want to go, so Draymond better be careful, but I digress
Its because they don't wanna be accountable for the unearned praise of Alperen Sengun. Instead of admit how embarrassing Sengun looked they blame Jalen. But I thought Sengun was our "best player" for 2 years?
Because Sengun gets a pass for this game due to showing up strong the first two. Stop looking at things in all vacuum. Sengun put up 26 in game 1 and had 17/16/7 in game 2. Put up a dud in game 3. Let's see what happens in Game 4
kerr has been proactive scratching & clawing for every possible advantage from hack-a-adams to trying multiple bench players to bringing back the moving screens offense to trapping our ball handlers at halfcourt to trotting out his own version of double bigs etc etc meanwhile udoka still thinks he’s the 2nd seed king “let them adjust to me n my routine ima bad mofo with gameplan so flawless i might just engrave the shht in bronze n plaque it up on tilfuk’s shiny new trainin facility.. ime got it like that betta aks somebody”
