just listen to his postgame presser, he’s not going to change anything he actually believes his gameplan was solid but we just missed shots and they made theirs lol
it was a no-brainer, but instead of capitalizing on an opportunity to steal the championship we opted to let the young guys develop and then proceeds to not play any of the youngest guys in the playoffs. even without a Trade we have players on the bench that could help us look at post… No one saying he is a future All-Star look at the impact he’s making on a team that’s beaten our butts and he was in the freaking G league most of the year
Curry popped off for 36 pts. Dont tell me Tari cant do the same job on Curry? Jalen had 6 boards and 5 assts on 1 to. Even if he isnt scoring he is still providing spacing whereas Amen just clogs up the lane.
Rebounds??? Im dying bro. Spacing? Shooting 1-4 from three and not shooting again after? They were daring him to shoot. Tari is not as fast as Amen and the defensive win shares show that. There is a reason we don't talk about Tari on the same level as Amen when it comes down to locking people down.
exactly. the irony of Stone not wanting to cash in on any our assets is that this year is probably our best year to compete for a championship. OKC is only going to get better. the East looks beatable. with a few moves, I think we could have battled with OKC this year. not to mention we won't catch teams by surprise next season so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't reach 50 wins. I don't think anyone watches this team and goes damn..this is a juggernaut for the next (insert number) years. There's a reason why fans of other teams were looking at us like a free lick going into the playoffs.
Absolutely not. Amen is a cornerback and Ime is trying to make him into a quarterback. It's embarrassing.
OKC makes reasonable trades and relatively big signings every year. They continuously do so....the continuation counts. It is mostly one year signings next year rest on your laurels and talk about interior development one year.
It boils down to this: You can get a GOOD offensive player to play decent D. But you can't get a GOOD defensive player to play decent O. We are unbalanced. DD
Black JVG Which why all the bashing is kinda funny because every time the Rockets had an opening, the majority of CF was clamoring for JVG. McHale fired, bring back JVG! D’Antoni fired, hire JVG! Silas fired, bring back JVG! I think CF fell in love with JVG the broadcaster and don’t remember the coach who was here. “Hire an offensive assistant” … Haha yeah right Defense first, defense second, defense third Like take the guy on the other team, Hield, wouldn’t play here. Does one thing (shooting). Hell, forget Cam & Reed, can’t even get Jabari out there. Stephen Silas is not the bar. Every time there’s discussions on this or criticism of Udoka, “oh you want to fire a coach who took us from 20 wins to the 2 seed?! You deserve Silas!” And no, not on the fire train yet but he ain’t immune from criticism.
That was a great post, you are right about it, for sure. Ime either grows into the job and learns offense or he isn't the guy to lead the team to the promised land. DD
funny, maybe true but I still like Ime as the coach… it was up to Stone to get a player that forced Ime to play
The crazy thing is you look at Draymond and you have to ask, why can't Amen play centerfield like him? Ime should be using his athleticism to disrupt an entire offense. But instead, you have him trying to chase Curry around screens, which is a fool's errand. The Warrior are blitzing Jalen Green and allowing Draymond to guard 2 guys at once. They don't have Draymond trying to guard Jalen 1-on-1. Why aren't we using the same strategy if Amen is in Draymond's class?
I think Rick was the only unanimously loved Coach we had after Rudy. Players loved and played their asses off for him. Le$ did him dirty so we also left with a sour taste
I think that Stone needed to see what this team (including both players and coaching staff) can do in the playoffs, and not rush into decisions during the regular season. While it may be wise from a managerial pov, I agree that we all of us saw the flaws of our offense really early.. Anyway, I guess that this summer will be an important test to Stone. Moves need to happen - either in our roster, our coaching staff or both. What is definitely clear is that we can’t compete for a chip right now, as we can’t execute simple moves on offense.
If Jabari played 30 mins we win this game period. Not sure how people can see that and still blame Stone lol. Stone got Jabari, Adams and Tari. If Ime doesnt play them and we lose its on him. Adams was literally unstoppable inside, he even had the steal and score on buddy Hield. Adams even made all his fts but Ime rewards him by benching him and putting Sengun back in.
