I give up, y’all have fun. We’ll have more interesting things to talk about after Jalen has another big game

Just different player profile, Booker and Beal is what Jalen is aiming for?

Cade is more Luka, Lamelo mold

If you started with this instead of "I know how you leftists are", Id think you would be coming from a sincere place of "I just want to discuss basketball" rather than just being offended about your ideology being confronted.

Give Jalen Green the greenlight to average 6 turnovers per game(what Cade is averaging this playoffs vs Jalen's 1.5) and see what his assist and scoring average is. Jell I'm pretty confident his scoring efficiency would increase because guys like Cade and Green have inconsistent jump shots when they transition between on and off ball roles which Green does a lot compared to Cade. Both Green and Cade are on ball rhythm scorers. Both would suffer with their scoring efficiency if they transitioned between playing off ball and on ball game to.game, quarter to quarter.

Cade is a better floor general but the gap is exaggerated because you ignore these other factors.

How are Booker or Beal the archetype for Jalen? Those are grounded outside shooters and he's a hyper athletic highlight reel. He's more in the young Kobe/Vince etc style of archetype.

He's more Ja Morant with worse handle and passing chops but better naturally shooter. Ja isn't even streaky as a shooter lole Jalen. He's just a non-shooter. You can tell by how often he hesitates on his threes.

Green isn't a triple threat iso guy. That is the bread and butter of Vince and Kobe's offensive game.

Green's offense is more of the mold of your Tyrese Maxeys, Iversons and Ja's of the world where they do a lot of pnr ball handling and snake through multiple defenders.

Green doesn't have much of a triple threat game like Booker, Kobe etc. All his on ball scoring actions start from a live dribble while Kobe and Vince had that post and middie footwork and strength to score from a triple threat in a consistent manner. Their game is far more iso conducive.

Jalen's athleticism is also more similar to AI and Ja than Kobe or Vince. Those guys had a lot more power and in Vince's case, jumped higher.

Green is a much more nimble laterally agile athlete than Vince or prime Kobe who squeezes through tight spaces like Ja or Maxey or Fox or AI.

Zach Lavine maybe. Vince and Kobe are a lot stronger but also shoots a ton of mid range shots.

Not even Zach Lavine. I don't think he had the ability to be a primary ball handler at age 22-23 on a 50+ win team for long stretches in the fourth quarter.

Look at their pnr primary ball handling possessions and efficiency at ages 19-23. It ain't close. Lavine is far more of your prototypical off ball athletic shooting guard who can create their own bucket. But you aren't utilizing him as a primary ball handler for entire fourth quarters in tight games on a playoff team.

Green's game is more similar to Tyrese Maxeys'.

Agree to disagree. Jalen played point when FVV was out and never could control the game as a PG.

It's not really about TO's and assists, it's about controlling the rhythm of the game and setting up the offense.

Cade can hold his dribble in the mid post, survey and make decisions. Most good PG's can do that consistently. Green is more of a straight line driver, similar to Edwards, they can't really run point.

Ya I think there record was like 15-2 during that stretch where Ime made it a concerting effort to make Green a primary ball handler with Fred being regulated to a off ball role. Definitely a failed experiment given the record.

I've seen Green many times keep defenders on his hip while probing defenses and keeping alive dribble in the middle of the paint.

Ya of he increased those possessions to Cade level usage he might up his turnovers from 2 a game to...

    Something like 5 a game.

We were 8-8 in the stretch FVV was out btw, not sure where you got 15-2 from.

We lost to some pretty ass team during that stretch too with Jalen and Amen running point

@fchowd0311 You áre going to Make the Internet and the CF forums great again.

Was not expecting Jalen to come out gangbusters in Game two after an abysmal game one. Lots to like about how he played from his on-ball play to his decisión making.

The concern is still how reliant his game is on the three-ball being a constant. 8-18 is not the norm for him, but hopefully this is more a sign that he got better looks and not just one of his random hot shooting nights.

These two games have shown how important having a perimeter scorer and playmaker is for success in the playoffs.

There were many games in April and March where he was the best player on the court while not having a hot three point shooting night .

It's a common tactic of haters. Pretend a good game is a first for him while ignoring the previous examples of him doing it.

Even people skeptical of Jalen's career trajectory have mentioned how he's impacting the game without being hot from three post ASB.

Some basic observations skills if you religiously watch all 82 games would make you conclude that post asb , when Fred was on the court, Ime made it a concerting effort to make Jalen be on ball as a primary ball handler while Fred played a more off ball role.

Fred had a very dimished role on the team post ASB when on the court. This is something that was heavily discussed on this forum.

Let's relitgate this then if you think his post is conducive to returning to basketball discussion.

Let's see if you think his post was a good idea then.

I was fine discussing basketball again but jet you think his post is good.

Lol y’all do know our current best player is a Turkish(middle eastern) Muslim right?

And our GOAT is Nigerian Muslim.

I wish the world was a better place than this. Always pick love over hate.

As Rockets fans I hope our love for our team can bring us together
